I took the plunge !! I bought the black leather and it is GORGEOUS !! The leather is to-die-for soft and buttery. I just purchased during lunch and already using the bag ! haha
They told me production has stopped for this bag. I wonder if it was a limited edition piece - hence the price ??
I am so gitty right now..

I was going to be sensible and maybe purchase it next season, but if they are not producing it again, it puts everything in a new light.

It was $1445 but I was able to get 20% off since the boutique had a coupon going on. So, I got a small discount.
If you really like the bag, I'd say pre-order to make sure you get one. It's truly a gorgeous bag and very unique.

klow-chloe', do you use your suede coffer for work occassions too or do you feel it is a more "weekends-casual-only" bag?

I love how the coffer looks in suede (like a sharpei ), but I'm thinking the black leather is more low-maintenance and easier to translate between formal and casual occassions.

PrincessImp - I've used mine for work everyday and on the weekend since I got it. It's getting warmer here in Sydney and I'm not wearing much of the suits or jackets anymore. Most of my outfits I'm wearing now are more of business casual (those outfits in the pics are what I'm wearing to work except the jeans).

I had a chance to see both leather and suede in the end I decided to get the suede one. I personally find the suede one has more character and vintage vibe which I love about it where as the leather lack of it. It is boiling down to you personal preference

I am well aware that there is an enormous ok well not quite enormous YET, thread to the Miu Miu Coffer, so I thought we should list up the other handbags from the collection.

I'm loving quite a few of those, especially the (?names) brown one in the 2nd montage pic, and the last four; though that coffer bag will always look as though it's made from SharPei dogs to me. The only other thing that irks me about Miu Miu is that big tacky label they insist on whacking on every bag.

i think the brown one in the montage pics is called Buffalo...well thats what it said on r-n.com... i personally dont mind the logo they place on it i find it subtle compared to the logo slabs of other premier designer bags...
