^hey lucy I don't know the name,but the one on the right, I saw it all the time early in the season at saks here, but I haven't been there in weeks so I have no idea if they still have them. It's a beautiful bag but the turnoff for me was the bows on the side, they were a bit much for me.

be sure to try barneys too, they have a large selection of miu miu bags, they're on the side of the handbag section closest to the jewlery, so the opposite end from the goyard boutique.lucy92 said:

I was wondering if anyones seen the grey leather coffer? I saw it in a barneys catalog but cant actually find it anywhere. Thanks!

guess what I saw at barneys today....
a coffer in black patent! It was perfectly smooth, yet highly glossy patent. I didn't so much like the way the brushed gold hardware looked with the patent, but it was still pretty.

Has anyone had a problem with the braided short handle on the coffer? I have the black leather and have carried it for about two weeks. I just noticed today that one of the braids is coming out of the bottom of the strap. I don't know if a stitch has come undone or if something has come unglued, but I am really surprised to have this problem after only two weeks of use! Not a good sign for the coffer.... Hopefully its just a fluke!

^I have the black leather coffer too..probably owned it for around the same amount of time as you.
So far what you have described has not happened to my coffer and I have been putting it to regular use.
Since you've owned for a short period of time, could you bring it back to the store and ask them to fix it for you?
Speaking of the coffer, I'm surprised that I actually use the long strap more often to carry it messenger style than the braided shoulder handle!

^ Thanks princess. I ordered it from saks.com and they no longer have the coffer available to exchange. I may send it back and just order a new one from a store. I thought of taking it to a shoe repair place to see what they could do to avoid sending it back, but you hate to have to do that for a bag that costs that much after so little use. I hope you don't have these problems w/ you bag!

i am becoming more and more attracted to the miu miu coffer bag. oh no!
i recently sold my fendi spy (just wasn't using it enough b/c i was afraid of damaging it) so i am looking for another bag that is just as chic but not as high maintenance. how do these bags hold up? are you able to store a lot of stuff in your bags (daily essentials)? how is the leather? i am leaning towards the camel color leather one (not suede) shown on nm.com. if anyone has seen this one IRL or owns this particular color, please tell me all about it! the color is so neutral that i love it very much. also, how is the hardware holding up? is everything snapping and closing as it should? and last but not least, are most of you able to carry the coffer on your shoulders? i am more hand-held or hang-on-shoulders kind of call, as oppose to carrying it on my arms.

shopping, speaking as a coffer owner, I am very happy with this bag. The leather is really soft and I have no problems carrying it on my shoulder even with my coat on. In fact, I have been slinging it across my body using the long strap even more often as I find it so convenient and it looks better than I expected! In terms of volume it does carry a lot, though I think it's slightly less than a Fendi spy as the coffer has more structure.
Some members have mentioned that for the leather coffers there are problems with the lock closing. So be sure to check that.
I saw the camel IRL and I think it's a really gorgeous colour, but I ended up going for black as I loved the combination of the black leather with the gold hardware.
And oh yea..there have been knockoffs of this bag for some time, that's the only down-side

Oooh I see. I went to the Double Bay one about a week or so ago and they had the smaller version, this one hereklow-chloe' said:She saw at MLC, I saw them as well the brown suede is gorgeous.
Very very pretty, the quality is fantastic, so much better than previous seasons IMHO. The leather is amazing and it opens up and is quite spacious inside considering the size of the bag.
I was wondering if the Coffer wears well too. Can I be a bit more 'rough' with it or do I have to be quite delicate with the bag?
I adore it but I shy away from any bags with high celebrity exposure... I don't want it to date too easily either

thanks for your input princess. i am very much on the fence about this bag, mainly b/c for that price i can buy a bunch of upcoming sale things or this fendi dress from resort that i really want.
best if i can go into my local stores and see if they have this bag - at least i can see it and see how it feels on me.
