Mo Wandan

See, there's no need to include Chinese models when designers put on one-off shows in the country :D

Mo is returning to Beijing soon and by the sound of it, extremely excited! She'll be in the upcoming CFW and staying there til at least April. I'm not sure how seriously she takes her career in the European market... Thinking back, her turning down IMG's offer is pretty much a good indication. I mean, who turns down IMG? there are thousands of hopefuls each year willing to do anything to sign w/ them, and can't. Guess it just shows how much of a priority she places in making a name for herself. Unlike some models who try VERY hard to make it (Pei Bei), Mo seems to be just ridin' the tide. I guess she loves her homeland first and foremost!

she just needs the right team to edge up her look/hype it up like they do with other models. i really hope she can develop her career overseas. she's too much of a rarity & talent to stay homebound!

I 100% agree. She is an extreme rarity, a woman who is in a league of her own. She stands out with or without the proper backing from agents and agencies. The other girls are b*tches and skanks who deserve to model for prison fashions magazines. But I'd advise Next Models to put in the full force to make this girl a #1 star, or give her up to another agency because "CHINA" won't put up with them disrespecting their #1 model.

i'm no fan of IMG & their monopoly on the fashion industry but Next should be doing better than her showcard, cuz if she was with IMG now she'd be walking YSL & Miu Miu.

*sidenote: My comment about designers not needing Chinese models when they appease them in their home country was meant to be sarcastic. It's pretty sad actually.

Something funny i noticed browsing this show. The audience tend not to be looking at the models; they're looking down...at each other...but in every pic of Mo, their eyes suddenly all fixated on her!

She must've been literally a show stealer!

haha look at the dudes checking her out

You mean the stalker looking guy on the far right hand side with his head crained all the time. LOL!!

Well it seems IMG have somewhat dropped their standards as it's reported on Style.com that Pei Bei is an IMG model, and modeling for Miu Miu. Mo should go with Women Management no big name Asian models there to distract from them from paying attention to her.

hahaha sly
IMG never had any standards when it comes to Asian models anyway. Women/Supreme always have good eyes.
Mo did so well in her first season. For somone who wasn't shot by any *famous* photographer or had editorials in her book, she did damn good. If she decides to go for another season after her Galliano lookbook comes out, then it's on. It all depends on her though.

I don't doubt that because her VERY FIRST fashion show was for DIOR COUTURE, and she was the most elegant, exotic, experienced and exciting model in the entire show. The actions or runway videos speak for themselves, this isn't just my opinion.

i wish they change Chinese models every season so we can see several new girls each season instead of letting 1 dominate for 3, 4 seasons. i'm getting sick of Pei Bei she looks like she's ill. Mo should stay though, she doesn't look Chinese. haha.

Pei Bei is plain, too thin with no body, and has no presence. She is like a mirror twin of Du Juan in an alternate universe that is perverse in its contained success.

Asian models commonly used today are Ai Tominaga, Du Juan, Han Jin, Hye Park, Eugenia M., Pei Bei, and now Mo Wandan. I wonder with Mo on the scene which of these other models are going to get permanently pushed out. I say Hye and Pei Bei following with Du Juan.

rofl. nice poetic verse....
that picture of them together in those party dresses remind me of two middle aged Asian trophy wives attending a Tiffany's auction. yawn!

as one can see, Momo is concerned about their taste
