^ They haven't. I am guessing Rose will follow to Ford as Paul and Mohammed were instrumental on her move from Wilhelmina to Supreme initially and of course responsible for making her into the A-list model she's become. Iris I think has more power in the whole situation as one of the worlds most in demand models, not to mention she's more mature & more likely more bsuiness minded than the younger "followers." If she is under contract with Supreme her new agency would have to buy out her contract. Few agencies will do this, but Women, IMG and Next have been known to do it in the past. I wouldn't be surprised to see her with Ford, though, as they orchestrated her come back and relationships with many of her biggest clients.. ala Givenchy, etc. We'll have to wait and see. I'm interested to see where Alana Zimmer ends up as Supreme is her mother agent. It's a sticky situation in that respect, unless she is happy with her new booking team.
The agents at Supreme now are by no means any "worse" than the agents who left. It was smart of the "powers at be" behind Women Group to bring them over. Ford is known for making money and the bookers bring with them a wealth of clients & potential revenue. Although the image was established by Paul Rowland, I'm guessing the new bookers will attempt to maintain it to some extent.. thus pairing the profitability of the "Ford" base with the image of Supreme. It's hard to say whether staying at Supreme or leaving for Ford is better or worse than one or the other. It comes down to personal relationships (model to booker) for the most part. That said.. many of the Supreme girls now at Ford look a bit strange on their board, no? I just can't imagine Antonella or Ranya ever reaching the kind of mainstream "supermodel-dom" all this switch up is supposedly going to provide.
Women-Direct will continue to snap up those commercial bookings that Supreme and Women stick their nose up at, as it was initially intended to. Just because we never hear about what those models are doing, they're working steadily and making money, like Ford, Q, Next Direct, Wilhelmina have for years. The board wouldn't exist if it wasn't making money. It costs money to represent models: pay bookers, website, print cards, books, messenger fees, travel/scouting expenses.. etc etc. If it wasn't profitable I'm sure the power people watching the bottom line would cut it off.
