Well if you look at my posts, I have not been anti-Next and if anything have asked questions to get their side of the story when there has been strong anti-Next sentiment, for example I did not assume that every model that moved to Next after the Karlie, Agnete, Kendra wave was automatically "poaching." Now I have asked, and I think that my question was deleted during a recent purge, was what is the difference between Next's recent lawsuit against Ford versus Ford's lawsuit against Next from a year or so ago? Personally, I find it all interesting, but I haven't taken sides in the matter.
One light that is coming on for me is that it is not always the agency that "builds" or "invests" in the model, rather it is the agent / booker, so changing agencies may really be an act of disloyalty if a model is following her booker. Also, if the agency gets a commission and models are billed for a lot of the expenses incurred on their behalf, then when the model walks away all of the parties are whole. I can't believe that these contracts are so easily broken (even considering that lawsuits have been files here and there), if the agency had not already recouped their expenses / investment or the model is not still on the hook to pay back expenses made on her behalf while she was with them even after she has left.
