I think what could have been a great campaign was ruined by their stiff posing and lack of quirky, kitschy expression. Like the campaign Linda did for the Windex perfume? That was so perfect. Her smile, her attitude, her pose. These girls are not even posing like mannequins, and the retouching is way too much. But I guess that's all down to Meisel and not the cast. Also, Adut's skin has been visibly lightened. Why? And can we leave Meghan Collison in retirement? She's not bringing anything new to the table.

They thought something simple and effective would do the trick. What they didn't realize is that something so basic requires a strong model to sell it. Where is Naomi Campbell or Christy? Was Yasmin Warasme also unavailable? These newbies are trying, but the only one giving something is Bella. I don't like Vittoria's. It looks like an Armani ad. Meghan is looking like a department store model. Adut is just standing there looking pretty. Poor Fran looks stiff, especially her neck. I'm hoping there are more girls. I know that Rianne and Kaia will slay with their shots.

Thinking more about it, I must agree that models like Linda Evangelista or Yasmeen Ghauri, who were statuesque with a lot of personality, would make it work a lot better. But I can't think of any current model right now. Maybe Fei Fei Sun or Grace Elizabeth? Kaia still looks too young for me to pull off certain looks - I'm not sure it'd work, although who knows.

I love Bella's face but it's such a shame she has so little range. She seems to always very slightly suck her cheeks in so her cheekbones stick out more, and very slightly pout. I think that if she wasn't so self-conscious and was less worried about looking perfect, she'd be a lot more interesting as a model.
