MUGLER MOMENT: Joséphine Le Tutour features in Mugler’s spring-summer 2015 advertising lensed by Josh Ollins, the brand’s first campaign since Thierry Mugler left the house in 2003. The black-and-white ads come shortly after creative director David Koma’s debut ready-to-wear collection for Mugler.

“Right now is our time to express the new Mugler woman,” Virginie Courtin-Clarins, director of development, marketing and communications at Mugler Fashion, told WWD. “A campaign was the best way to show the clothes from the collection, but at the same time the attitude of the Mugler woman. We needed to put all the new codes that we brought in with David into images.”

Courtin-Clarins called the Mugler woman strong and independent, while also glamorous, feminine, urban and contemporary. She felt Le Tutour was an obvious choice to embody such qualities.

The Mugler campaign, coming in single and double pages, is due to break first in U.S. Vogue, followed by titles in France, such as Vogue, Elle, Madame Figaro, Numéro and Le Monde’s style magazine M.

How groundbreaking and innovative, who would have thought....
Mugler woman strong and independent, while also glamorous, feminine, urban and contemporary.

As far as the images....

I still have a problem with Koma's direction, but Joséphine nailed this. Can't wait to see more.

Is that the actual layout? I like it a lot
Also the images, I love the contrast of the hard straight lines from the stairs and the curves from the dress.

Not familiar with the model, but MY GOD! She is stunning! The portrait shot is incredibly strong, the other not so much.

I welcome a new era of Mugler, or any era that doesn't involve Nicola, but the campaign and clothes, though good, doesn't look distinguishable from a lot of other brands. For a house that materialized extraordinary, Koma needs to push it further.

Love the polaroid concept and the bleached eyebrows look good on Josephine.

i love the polaroid idea and the red writing. maybe they could've gone a bit messier.

Love it! Joséphine looks stunning, too!

That's a lot of talk for what is a very dull ad. Josephine looks absolutely stunning here, but nothing about the styling or setup excites me.

Those captions in red are so cheap and too cheesy, not at all in line with the mood... that kind of thing is more suitable for something like Rykiel or Petit Bateau.

stunning she does have that chic femme fatale vibe to pull off such a simple concept

She look like fifty age women. It is probably sell well.

Joséphine looks amazing, in both shots. She looks very mature and slightly worn (but NOT like Daria) which I actually like!

Thought it was going to be boring, but it's quite nice. Josephine looks amazing.
