MUSE #65 2025: Lara Stone by Dan Jackson and Beauïse Genç by Olivier Kervern

Lara Stone was lucky to have had an editorial career with excellent production, because she is the type of model who doesn't carry these simple things.

The sight of 90s supermodels has been mined for every last drop of interest, so people are now moving on to the cohort of Daria, Lara etc, as the next form of fashion nostalgia, capitalising on superfans and a creative thought process that seems to go, "if we hire the models who used to be in those amazing Vogue Paris editorials, then our stories will surely be the same".

Yes... "minus the budget, set/production design, styling, art direction, surely our editorials will be great!!!"

I do not think that is the thought process. I think many of the editors and creatives love certain models, like we do, from the past. I think it is great to see the faces that were once very popular in the modelling world (like the pages of Vogue Paris) back in the game. I love seeing models like Daria W. and Lara S. again but shot by different photographers.
