^Pay close attention to two things:

1. "In talks." You have no idea the sheer volume of girls that Meisel optioned for that campaign, but it ultimately went to Iselin, only-girl.

2. They didn't spell her last name correctly. If your fact-checker missed the spelling of her last name, I would consider all subsequent information highly suspect.

The fact of the matter is that this little face of 2009 promo they did was full of erroneous information and shouldn't be taken too literally.
