Nail Polish

Those are great photos!!!

My new polishes are Chanel's Rose Mica, a pretty pink. Purple Rain from the Lippmann Collection and Mermaid to Order from OPI for Sephora!

Agent Lavenderis very similar to my LCN Luxurious Lavender.:woot:

That Groovy Green from China Glaze looks fabulous, as does Dating a Royal and Bon Bon :woot:  I think I need to do some nail polish shopping, haven't bought any since Chanel's Vendetta in February.

OPI My Daddy's The King came out in the Princess Charming Collection, a gorgeous warm pink that would suits almost any complexion.
MDTK has a pearl finish, and although I love this color alot, I have to say the problem I always have with shimmer/pearl polishes also occured with this one. The first two application were a little streaky but the third layer was finally able to fix the imperfection over all.
wow I love this shade! I love pink as well :woot:

Nailpolish reviews and inspirational colors!

Please do not quote images

The nail polish is called Bon Bon from Orly Sugar Coated Spring Collection. the first layer is pretty sheer and gave me a weird "I'm freezing!!" purplish gray color, but the second layer and third makes the color more opaque. It's still not 100% opaque but OH MY LORD, isn't it the longest lasting nail polish evaaaaaaah.

I applied them 7 days ago, no base coat no top coat and today they haven't chipped. I am not kidding, I ran errands, washed dishes with hot water (not warm, mind you..), I even swam, and yet Bon Bon are still looking brand new on my nails.

I LOVE this shade even though I am one to always stick to red or french manicures...does anyone know if I can find this brand in London? The biggest problem I seem to be havign these days is that my Chanel nail polish chips EVERY day...infact it starts chipping an hour after drying!!!The review of this made me want it even more!!!!

:buzz: Omg, we finally got OPI! Only 48 shades, but it's a start.:p I dragged my mum there and she bought me Make Men Blush and she decided to try Ds Extravagance.

Make Men Blush-I'm not big fan of fair and pastel nail polishes, but I wanted something like that for everday use or when I'm to lazy to put on my preferred colours.

That is wonderful, Isa. Nothing but the best for all of us. Make Men Blush is what I call one of the colors that looks like the inside of a seashell.

hi girls, don't know if this is the right place to ask but after seeing all those lovely shades by OPI I went on a shopping search the other day but couldn't find it anywhere in the city :(

is there a reputable seller (ebay) or another site I can order these polishes (I'm from europe)? thanks!!! will surely share my colors!

ps: the make men blush is so adorable!

^ Transdesign.com and 8ty8beauty.com have the latest (& older) OPI collections, and ship internationally.

Head2toebeauty.com has polishes from the France Collection, and previous collections.

where you live? maybe check sephora - there are some shades here in polish sephoras

Lovely colors! Extravagance is gorgeous, and Makes Men Blush is the perfect "your nails but better" shade.

I have the opposite view on fair and pastel nail polishes---- I am a big fan of them. I love them too much. ^_^:p

^^I think I've changed my mind! Can't wait to get some more O.P.I colours, they apply very easily (even for me), not to mention that I don't have to use any top coat. Make Men Blush is still unchipped, and it's been 4th day today.:woot:

Okay between the OPI anniversary collection, the Paige denim stuff, and the Essie neons, I am in hog heaven. I picked up Essie's Funky Limelight today which is the brightest yellow-green...think traffic sign. I'm getting all the rest if I get an ULTA ad and it's B2G1 free since the rest are very good workable colours. The purple is similar to Violet Fire (MAC) which has sold out at some counters, only lacking the frost.

has anyone here tried minx nails? beyonce is a fan. they are fake nails that are bonded to your real nails.

Okay, so if anyone is thinking of getting the Essie Neons...

Please, please, DON'T.

I just did a mani with Funky Limelight and it took me 5 very thick coats to get a semi-opague finish. It is very streaky, and there is no way you can get around having a messy mani with this. Not to mention you are very prone to air bubbles. It's a matte finish, which explains some of it, but at the same time, with matte polishes being all the rage for fall I can't help but go into the fall with very low expectations.

The colour is nice though and will definitely stop traffic:)

Next time apply a coat of white polish (like OPI Alpine Snow) before applying Funky Limelight. (You'll get a more opaque look in less coats).

Easier said than done-I read that some people tried that and it looked a lot worse. I've done the whole white base thing before and wasn't really all that impressed. Not to mention the only white I own is OPI's Kyoto Pearl, which is a sheer pearly white.

I did put on a 6th coat yesterday afternoon and I only have a couple of chips, which is rare for me, but I've heard this chips like crazy. It also gets a lot more opague-still streaky, but definitely opague from a distance. People last night said that there should be little warning signs on them, with how bright they are.

It looks worse with a white base coat? I can't imagine how... unless you're talking about the streaks being more visible?

In helping to intensify the neon, it works fine for me. :flower: While I haven't tried it with Funky Limelight, I have with China Glaze's Celtic Sun (which is a similar neon).
1 coat of opaque white polish + 2 coats of Celtic Sun gives me a really bright, intense, and opaque neon that looks just like the color in the bottle.
