After working together on Terrence Malick‘s upcoming drama, Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender were all set to reteam again for Lynne Ramsay’s western Jane Got a Gun. But as our readers should be familiar with by now, a few weeks of mishaps resulted in a different cast and director. However, it didn’t take long for duo to find a chance to work together again though, as Screen Daily has news of their next collaboration.
First revealed earlier this week, Fassbender came aboard a new adaptation of Macbeth, set to be directed by Snowtown helmer Justin Kurzel. We’ve now got word that the “leading Hollywood actress” producers were chasing was Portman, as she has signed on to play Lady Macbeth.

I like her a lot but I think she's way too young for this. That being said, if she does this well I can see her getting Oscar number two as Lady Macbeth is one of the most interesting characters ever.
