Went to see Jackie yesterday and I still haven't recovered from the brilliance of her performance. Simply outstanding, so much class and charisma on screen it's quite surreal compared to how almost common she sometimes look in her candids or even at award shows. I'm quite bummed her momentum passed tho. She definitely deserves a second Oscar for this role. But I'm still rooting for Isabelle Huppert Stone was so dam underwhelming. Luminous yes but definitely not the best performance of the year.



Stylewise I have to say that Natalie's award season has been really really disappointing. I'm willing to give her a pass because of the pregnancy. Though she pulled it off perfectly during the Black Swan era, without to wear a white hot air balloon on the redcarpet.

Natalie Portman to Skip Oscars, Independent Spirit Awards Due to Pregnancy

This will be the second child for Portman and husband/French choreographer Benjamin Millepied.

Natalie Portman has canceled her upcoming appearances at the Independent Spirit Awards and the Oscars due to her pregnancy. Portman was nominated in both upcoming awards shows for her starring role in Jackie.

"Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards," says Portman in a statement. "I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends."

Portman is up for best actress at the Oscars and best female lead at the Independent Spirit Awards which take place today in Los Angeles. She has been showing her baby bump on red carpets at the Venice Film Festival and most recently the Golden Globe Awards in January.

This will be the second child for Portman and husband/French choreographer Benjamin Millepied who have a five-year-old son, Aleph. Portman told Matt Lauer on TODAY back in November that she was expecting to give birth in the spring.
