these are the ones i really want to see - but it is just too hard to find some of them in Australia

i am hoping that with the natalie wood box set coming out next year many films will be released on dvd (eg. sex and the single girl, inside daisy clover, love with the proper stranger AND PENELOPE!!)

I have actually seen This Property Is Condemned in my local Video Ezy. I just haven't rented it out yet. I agree though, it is hard to find a copies of a lot of old films in Australia.

That is great about the box set coming out soon. Is the box set going to be released in the US or in Australia too? I envy all those that live in the US and have much better access to classic films. A lot of box sets and DVDs released in the US still aren't available in Australia. I know I could order them over the internet but it would be a lot easier and cheaper if I could purchase them here.

And about de DVD Box set, I heard that it's from Warners, so if it is just Warners movies this box will not include West Side Story, Love With The Proper Stranger and This Property Is Condemned....3 of her finest performances!

Maybe Rebel Without a Cause, Marjorie Morningstar, Splendor In The Grass or Gypsy...these are from Warners.

and it's expected to be [SIZE=-1]released[/SIZE] in 2007.

that's funny 'cause I've heard that Natalie didn't want to make this movie because of Tony but she was under contract so she had to....this was their third movie together. And I've read what Tony has said about Nat and it's not very nice. He said that he thought she was attractive but he liked women with bigger breasts. Among other things.
and in an interview that tony curtis gave he said that marilyn monroe was nothing special....her "stupid woman" act was part of her success and her figure was not that great...it was "kinda lumpy", and when he had to kiss her in Some like it hot he said that kissing her was "like kissing hitler"!

how can you work with someone like that?!.....what a jerk!

but I guess Natalie was very [SIZE=-1]proffessional[/SIZE] and made it work anyway....she was great in that movie....

yeh i've also read him say something stupid like natalie and i had to be very careful because we were both attractive people

i've also read that he excluded her and tried to put her down while filming the movie

i hate to say it but i think he's a sleeze - a very attractive sleeze though

I once met Tony Curtis when I was young and after talking a bit, I point blank asked him about that MM quote of his re. kissing her being like kissing Hitler
I was pretty bold...he got flustered and laughed it off and changed the subject mighty fast

yes! so true, what a lucky lady!.....but I've read guys loved to work with her, not only because she was gorgeous and talented, but also because she was so nice and funny.
