WEDNESDAY 12:26 PM SEPTEMBER 25, 2024 PARIS
Inside a stark white cube this morning in Paris,
Courrèges presented their SS25 collection, a full embrace of the French brand’s trademark sleek restraint. Barely-there bandeaus and risqué minidresses met
Matrix-esque shades and leather trenches as models circled around what looked like a pond from the year 3000. After the show, our editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg grabbed superstars Irina Shayk, Nataša Vojnović ,
Ziwe, and Rebecca Dayan to talk butts in jeans and perfect dresses.
OTTENBERG: What were you saying?
NATAŠA VOJNOVIĆ: Those people are so nice. They keep bringing me in and they’re like, “Come on, Nataša!” So I come here, I do this, and then I go home and it’s f*cking amazing.
OTTENBERG: The dress is hot.
VOJNOVIĆ: This is a cool show to do. Their dresses are f*cking—the cut and everything is amazing. Are you gonna cut those F-words or are you going to put everything?
OTTENBERG: Probably not! Why would we?
VOJNOVIĆ: Oh my god! It’s a new generation!
OTTENBERG: It’s
the new generation, babe. f*cking is modern. And cursing is, too. What was your first runway show, and did you do good or bad?
VOJNOVIĆ: I was always good. I was born ready, you know? There are people who are scared and there are people who want it so bad, and I wanted it so bad. I enjoyed it. I f*cking had fun. And now I’ve moved back to Serbia and I’m a mom. I’m enjoying it, too.
OTTENBERG: Now you’re a Serbian mom, and you’re coming back to Paris.
VOJNOVIĆ: It’s great. Living in New York was good, but this actually gives me freedom.
