So I've recently made the decision to try to fill in my eyebrows a bit, but I have no idea if I should get dark brown or black eyebrow powder (or a different color? I dunno).

I have naturally dark brown/black hair... and I really want it to look natural. And my eyebrows are BLACK (almost dark gray looking against my skin) and thick, but sparse...

This is my first time trying make up

Thanks all!

I suggest MAC... I use MAC (a very light beige) for my brows. They last forever and stay on your brows for a long time as well!

Thanks for the reply... any idea on what color I should get?

Not really. I suggest, you go there and take a dark shade without sparkle!
I'm sure someone there will be able to help you... Take something matte! Good luck :-)

I suggest Bobbi Brown, I'm not too impressed with MAC matte eyeshadows. DO NOT pick a shade with any hint of red in it. You need a dark ash brown, matte of course. Do not pick something too dark, it will look obvious - you're brows being sparse and all.

Kind of a funny title, though :D Should we move this to the eyebrow thread?

Oh and get an angled brow brush, the Bobbi Brown one is just fine. Or go for MAC if that's cheaper, I have no clue since everything is marked way up in Denmark.

i think a lot of people use mac eyeshadow in expresso on their brows.

is you are worried about your brows being sparse, i would look into using latisse to make them thicker. :flower:

Thanks everyone

I'm taking all your advice into consideration!

So it seems like I should go for a lighter color (which is interesting). I was thinking about buying the black powder before I opened the thread... guess that would've been a big mistake! Haha

i would go to a MAC counter or a Mac Store if I were you.

they are really used to men customers. there will probably be a male makeup artist working there to help you. :flower:

^Oh yeah definitely. A lot of men come to buy concealer and bronzer as well.

My eyebrows are very sparse, so I use a tinted brow gel to make my hair seem, well, visible.
