Make Eyes Look Wow?

Forget brown eyeshadow, with brown eyes it looks dull for an everyday use!

I would also recommend metallics.

You can go for some eye pencils in more vibrant colours such as orange and strong blues. Then blend with your finger. I also really love eye pencils with metallic colours.

The grey metallic works really well with brown eyes, i know also because it´s my eye colour. The Lancome Eye Khol in Gris Metal is fabulous!

In Sephora you can find great colour choices in their own brand pencils and they have some chunkier ones that are really cute.

Use also a peachy blush and some lipgloss and you´re ready to rock!


ps- lightning the brows also really works. I also have the same combination as you- brown hair/ brown eyes and i really like to have them lightned because it "opens" a lot the face. Plus, you can overdo things like mascara because they really open and give more enphasis on the eyes.

I stopped using eyeliner unless it's a lighter color (white or silvery). My eyes look so small otherwise. I try to use shimmery shadows ( my favorite is this white-ish MAC pigment, it's called Vanilla).

Dark eyes can get away with bright colors pretty easily too. I'm a fan of dark pinks and greens.

THe most important for me is to use an eyelash curler.

That might have all been redundant, but you know.

^I'm starting to stop using dark eyeliner as well. I'm starting to use a shimmery white liner instead. I find with dark eyes you kind of have to use brighter colours as Angyl said, it makes your eyes pop out more since I found that using dark shadows, (like the bronzey type) my eyes looked super dark.

The browns and gold tones make her eyes look wonderful. I her eyes arent even that dark. I think if you play with the colors you could come up with something really cute

use stila smudge pot in the brown, then use the very thin brush made by Make Up Forever, do a careful line above your lash line.
take a concealer brush, i like the bristles better and use "soul" it's a yellowish color from bare escentuals in the inner corner of your eyes, heavily then sweep above the line you just made.
really opens eyes up!

I read that you shouldn't use the same color eyeshadow as your eyecolor. Even though I'm wearing brown right now, it's totally true for me. It just makes your eyes disappear.

I have dark hair, dark eyes and dark eyebrows too. I'm always frustrated with what to wear. Using light colors is obvious, but sometimes I want to use dark colors. I find that purple is pretty good for me, but granted I have pale skin. I really wish more colors existed.

I usually wear black, or darker colors. I'm korean with dark eyes, dark hair, dark brows yaddyyaddaaaaaaaa also. I think long eye lashes are always beautiful as long as they don't look too fake.

Dont use dark eyeliner on your bottom lids, maybe like a light eyeshadow like gold, maybe white, something light that will make your eyes stand out. I always love fake eyelashes make sure they look natural though, I dont like the really really thick ones if you know what I mean but something like this would look pretty and make your eyes stand out more.

I like to use something metallic or shimmery as my accent shadow to really catch people off guard and make my eyes draw all the attention.

I don't suggest lining the whole way round, maybe just the outer corner, but make it smudgy.

Also tons and tons of black mascara.
