She has the most beautiful coloring. I hope she is marketed in an expensive way versus the more hipsterish approach of Kampman and Van Haaster. She's a little green, but I think the potential is there for something special.

Nic is probably the newest girl in this feature but she's already getting a lot of interest from everywhere with good reason: She's a character, she has depth and intelligence in her eyes, and she has an allure that basically reflects everything what happened in the fashion industry between 1998 and 2003. An incarnate reference book! Nic is a very, very relevant and inspiring beauty - Stay tuned!


How were you discovered?
I was scouted at a local coffee shop in the middle of winter. It was definitely unexpected as I was up the previous night with a nasty cold and didn't feel most presentable!

What are the best characteristics of your Canadian agent?
I love that Mode is so understanding of my student lifestyle. It's difficult to balance university and modeling, but having an understanding agent makes it that much easier.


Famous person in the fashion world you would like to meet?
Okay, I'll admit it's Tyra Banks. I love her Inner Beauty campaign, as she is an inspiring feminist role model for young women.


You go on holiday with a famous person - Where do you go and who do you pick to accompany you?
I would love to go to New Zealand one day and walk to Middle Earth tour with none else but J.R.R Tolkien. I am shamelessly in love with his work.


One song that always manages to make you happy?
The Call by Regina Spektor - Anything by her puts me in a good mood.


Besides modeling - Which profession would you like to pursue?
I would love if I could find the time to pursue both a career in barrel racing and as a Philosophy student. I'm currently riding and training a barrel horse named Strider (reg. Winsalotta Runnin') When I'm not at the barn, chances are I'm reading some Aristotle.


What would you say is the most important thing you've learned due to modeling?
You have to be secure with yourself. I have had a lot of people try to nock me down participating in the industry, but I know who I am so I'm not going to let other people's negativity bring me down.


Let's talk about movies - Where do you see yourself?
I've never been too much of a romantic. I absolutely love fantasy movies such as Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. My favourite actress would definitely be Liv Tyler; she does her job beautifully.
