What a nice change of setting. I really like the collection. The proportions are very sweet. Coping is really growing on me seasons after seasons. I also love his evening pieces. They are elegant yet interesting.
I'm sorry but it's nearly impossible not to feel the Dior aesthetic in those double-faced fabrics in pink and orange and geometrically slashed dresses, as well as a heavy Prada S/S '09 influence in the wrinkled fabrics and some of the silhouettes.
The only pieces that truly feel like Nina Ricci are the ones made out of lace and the cropped-jacket-knee-length-skirt combo which I quite find sad because a brand should offer a much stronger identity.
The tailored suits were pretty awful but it kept getting better and better, especially the lace pieces! Some of the black evening dresses are pretty great. What's with the shoes and belts though...
