G-Star does a killer slim-fit boot cut (beware as some styles are cut looser). Rogan does slimmerish jeans, Blue Cult bootfits are VERY slim (I wear a 28 and I hate to admit that they are almost too slim on me), I have a pair of True Religon cords that fit like perfection, and a pair of jeans that fit almost as well. Earl Jeans does a couple really, really great fitting bootcuts for men, but it can be hard to find them in sizes under 30. Helmut Lang does some great slimmer jeans, as does Marc by Marc Jacobs. There really are a lot of options, and obviously with all brands it depends on what style, as some will run much looser. I do not personally have any strict reservation to spending $300 on jeans, if they seem worth it. You are almost at the Dior Homme price point there though, and we all know that those are probably the best fitting men's jeans out right now.
