Hello, all! I am looking for some guidance and I don’t think that there is any way to ask for it without sounding a bit loopy. To provide some context, I am a big fan of Tanner Guzy and ascribe to his idea of the three masculine archetypes (rugged, rakish, and refined). Based on his book, I am some mix of all three but am primarily refined and rugged and just a dash of rakishness in my influences. I like how my more rugged outfits look on me from afar, but appreciate how more refined outfits look in closeup photos. My job is professional so dressing refined suits my professional goals but my hobbies (and friends) are predominantly more rugged. I have trouble blending them in a way that I like. Switching back and forth between them feels jarring and insincere, like I am costuming for the occasion. I want to understand whether I should lean into my more rugged side or my more refined side and what I feel like I could use are some objective opinions on whether the more rugged or more refined outfits look better on me. I have provided some collages, and would welcome some feedback.

Please ignore the fact that I am barefoot or in slippers in a lot of these photos. I work from home and don’t like wearing shoes in the house.

Once I have a general direction I can lean into working on some of the details.
