^i agree with loldonna. i'm 29 years old and i still have quite a few garments from my junior days that are extremely well made and designed that ive kept (ie todd oldham's department store line, tommy hilfiger etc).
if i had a daughter i wouldnt want her wearing a garment that has the olsen twins name emblazoned on it with huge letters. she may get made fun of
.
Not with all the douches that have ABERCROMBIE emblazoned on their ripped up to look "vintage" $50 shirt. She would look more of the same of the people who wear clothes for the name and not really the style and small details of the garment.
I still have stuff today that were nice things from my teens. I'm 21 now. Actually wearing something I found in my storage from highschool- muted leopard longsleeve tunic which I'm wearing with black leggings with rose etchings on them. I wore this when I was 15 and I don't look silly wearing it now as a woman though I think now my accessories with it are better, it's more sophisticated for an adult world than paired for cute casual comfort when I went to school.
Teens don't get enough credit in one aspect, but I still get why this kind of market works because there is still a want for it. I visited my old highschool and certainly noticed the types that get suckered into labels and kitch, the abercrombie army, the dooney girls, and such are still around but many many more nice dressers than when I was in highschool and that was just a few years ago, class of 2007. I see less Wet Seal and more Anthropology kind of stuff. I would leave that mass general market to the ones that established themselves for those girls who just are not as polished in taste at this point in their life , and give those that look up to MKA style access to that kind of clothes. Girls look up to them and want to be like them, this stuff is NOT the Olsens style and I can see that girls who like their style will not be buying this. I looked at the Miley Cyrus/Max Azria line at Walmart and I can see her wear it, I can see some things tweens can wear and a few pieces, I can see on someone in college look good in. It's still mass market, but more her style and bits that definitely was Max. The price too is good for a teen, the prices make sense for Wal Mart also- last night saw $20 dress that was a white tank with a tiered tulle it looks like- it was cute and something I would let my daughter wear and I would actually wear it to work. I would wear the black ruffled top with the skinny jeans in this pic to work. I havent touched the clothes though cuz I hate being in Wal Mart and just run in, but doesnt look like it's cheap quality for the price, but also obviously not the best either IMO. Looks about F21 quality.

Also the pricepoint of this Olsenboye is kinda outrageous. 100 lace up boots that look like I could get better ones at the army surplus. 50 dollar flats with nothing going on- I would go to TJ Maxx and Marshalls and find really similar flats for half the price and for $50 get some nice flats I could wear at work. $44 dollars for the peace logo hoodie- I rather go get a plain one at American Apparel for that price and paint on it myself or buy this boyfriend vest, the tier dress and the ruffled top and pants from Mileys line for the same price.
