hmmmm.....if these things are so dangerous why do they sell em at toy stores?

Hahha. That's my point of view. I hardly think that Parker Brothers (or whoever it is that sells makes them) channels spirits. My friends and I used to fool around on them but nothing ever came out of it, other then my friends lying to me about the most random and untrue sh*t (who had a crush on me..., etc.)

I do believe in energies, spirits and ghosts, and that we're surrounded by them every minute of every day. Having said that, I do not believe that most people using a Ouija board have made contact with them. I think that most of the time someone is moving it, or that you are unconsciously moving it yourself.

My mother would not allow one in her house, due to some experience that's gone unexplained to this day.

I used to play around with them a lot in high school. We would also play the game where you sit across a piece of paper from eachother, a pen held in your clasped hands and you drew back and forth in a line until the pen started to write on its own.

Anyway, one time we were having a slumber party and I was upstairs in my room. Another girl ran to come get me, claiming that there was something going on that I had to see. The girl who was my best friend at the time was sitting in front of the board, with her hand sitting above the playing piece. She was talking in a sort of weird, funny voice, and she said some things that I'm not going to repeat here, but I bought it. In retrospect, I'm not as sure as I used to be about it. We would always ask the Ouija who we were talking to, and azaz was the one we usually got. He said all these things about past lives and things that are owed. He also claimed that he liked to watch me, which still creeps me out if I think about it too much today.

I haven't played with one in years, and with the late hour and my terrible nightmares, I think I'm going to just hit "add reply" and try to forget about it tonight.

at one of my birthday parties when iw as in the 3rd grade, we used a ouija board...

it said i was giong to die at the age of 68 of a car accident or cardiac arrest... something that started with CAR

ouija is not a joke. serious mentalists & mystics take ouija VERY seriously. it is believed you can contact the spirit world & even invoke dark or evil forces.

remember.........curiosity killed the cat. why try something that ur not sure is safe or dangerous when u can avoid it all the same and not miss out on anything?
I once found myself visiting those demonic sites and theres a way you get more and more curious one page leads to another before you know it ur on the page where they teach you how to cast spells. Soon after theres a warning that dont tamper with these things just for the joy of it and satanic postcards, pictures of bizzare orgies...
Very creepy stuff i immediatelly stopped going there

Tried it once with a friend, and we couldn't stop laughing. Oh and didn't work.

Also I don't believe in them at all. Aren't they made by the same people who make barbie?

Also, the other time I did it was at a party, and it seemed so obvious to me that people were moving it.

going off tangent a bit ... i've always wanted to have the ouija pointer made into a pendant ...

no never tried the ouija board though but it's not due to the horror stories i've heard. I've always been fascinated with rituals and these sort of things and i'm just worried that i may get dragged into something i can't deal with. I do believe in the supernatural and the spirit realm btw.

yes, I believe in them, and that's why I've never tried.
I've also heard really creepy stories, things moving, trance and other stuff.
Don't mess with things you don't respect enough.

I made one out of plywood... that's how you're supposed to use them... home made. Anyway... they creep me the hell out!
Here's a few true stories about my family and one of my friend...

My mom used one w/her first husband and after being creeped out.. she threw it out in the dumpster. The next day she woke up... walked out into the living room.. and there it was. She asked her husband if he'd brought it back in... and he didn't. It came back by itself.

My friend made one. And after expieriencing some creepy stuff.. she threw it out. Just like my mom.. it came back.. and that freaked her out more... and when she went outside to burn it.. it instantly started pouring down rain. Then she ripped it up and threw it out. The next day her mom said,"Brittany.. i thought I told you to throw this board away." It was back... and not ripped up.

My enperiences are pretty weird. I'm not afraid though. I'm not saying that a spirit told me about my current boyfriend.. but you'll have to agree.. it's CREEPY and WEIRD!

Last summer I used a ouija board in a cemetary at 12AM. Yeah, stupid I know. Anyways... it kept saying,"RJ RJ RJ" over and over. Like... so many times... that it wasn't answering any of my other questions.
A year later (2 months ago infact), I met RJ.... and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Choose to believe my stories or not. I just felt like answering a question!

how exactly do you go about making your own? what about the pointer?! i want to do it

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't believe in these. While I think that a lot of people don't conciously move the pointer, I think people do do it subconciously, and with that are often prone to reveal their darkest fears through the board likely because of the general mood while playing. A lot of experts have done tests where two people operate the board blindfolded and one person observes...and most of the time it just comes out as gibberish.

I also just refuse to believe that Parker Brothers has any connection to the occult.

I don't know if they actually do invoke spirits and such but I wouldn't mess with it. The spiritual world isn't something to be taken lightly.

when I was 10 I did it with my friends at a sleepover with her older brother who kept moving the thing to scare us:lol:

last year I used it at my friends house.....we're all idiots and we all went really serious and quiet and something freaky was going on but our parents came to pick us up right in the middle so it stuffed up. next time im over there I'll do it again......i think they are real I believe in it....i love magic

I dont know about Ouija boards. I just dont mess with it, because that sh*t scares the crap out of me, literally. I dont consider playing with forces beyond any humans control to be fun, it's terryfing.

the reason not to play with ouija is because it's believed to be a pathway to the dark side of the occult. it's not a game and it should never be used in jest. it is believed one can contact dead souls and even communicate with evil/the devil etc whatever that may mean to you, it's NOT a game.

^It's made by Parker Brothers and sold in the game isle of Toys R Us
