Palomo, the Spanish brand renowned for its unique vision of menswear, marks a milestone in its history with the presentation of its first Resort 2026 collection, which also marks its long-awaited foray into the womenswear world. The collection is released through a digital lookbook by photographer Marcello Junior Dino. With this new phase, the brand led by Alejandro Gómez Palomo expands its creative and commercial horizons, exploring the possibilities of women's fashion through its unmistakable artistic approach.

“Admiration for women has been present at Palomo from the beginning. Although we focus on offering men an aesthetic that has traditionally only been accessible to women, they have always been part of our universe. Now, that infatuation is renewed and becomes the centerpiece. It opens up a path of possibilities, enjoyment, and beauty that we want to explore more than ever,” says Alejandro Gomez Palomo.

For nearly a decade, Palomo has shaped a unique visual and creative language that has resonated globally, and is true to the belief that aesthetics transcend gender. This definitive foray into womenswear doesn't abandon that concept, but rather represents a definitive approach to women's silhouettes and patterns, with the practical rethinking that entails.

Under the name Cocoon, the Resort 2026 collection is an evolution of the brand's extensive history: a reinterpretation of iconic silhouettes through a heightened perspective on southern Spain. Distorted florals, polka dots, and a restrained color palette define this new blank canvas, where structured poplins, printed silks, and rich velvets trace a refined path toward the future.

Flowers—a key element in the brand's visual imagery—become the natural starting point for this new chapter. Cocoon-like forms emerge throughout the collection, expressed in a variety of fabrics, like metaphors for flowers yet to bloom: a silent and powerful symbol of Palomo's coming awakening.

The Palomo woman is a creature of contradictions, effortlessly fusing opulence with the rawest humanity. Wrapped in fluid silks and embroidered velvets, she moves like a vision from another time, yet her presence is electric and unmistakably modern. She is delicate, and at times even fragile—but there is beauty in that vulnerability. Her strength emanates from the way she inhabits space, from how she takes over a room even amidst the chaos of the night. Her beauty is imperfect, and it is precisely that imperfection that makes her irresistible. She is a lover, a dreamer, and, at times, a disaster. She is Palomo personified—a celebration of style, sensuality, and unapologetic individuality.

The feather headdresses were made by Vivas Carrión for Palomo; a hallmark of the brand's collections to date.

I love it.
Really interesting combination of flou and tailleur techniques, with some highlights like the pleating of the leather or the draped shawls over the shoulders that are integrated into the jackets. The colour palette is not wow but I liked some ideas, like the black leather dress with brown leather gloves, or that shade of blue that breaks the earthiness of the other colours.

As a side note, don't you think that the polka dots would have been fabulous at Loewe?
Or the cocoon-caped-trench-like-dresses would have been refreshing to see at Balenciaga?
Instead, the same designers from the last ten years for another five years.
And they are surprised at customer's fatigue.
