imo, Marc Jacobs (and Louis Vuitton... maybe more) echoed this editorial...
and it was 3 yrs ago........
I guess I understand why Panos said that about Marc's collection...

and I the first time I saw this editorial I thought Juergen was laughing at Terry R. p*rno... but maybe I was wrong....

same issue than previous...
sorry about the quality... don't know what's happening with the scanner...

this editorial illustrates an article about Gothic Romance...

^ I adore this ed. Thanks so much :flower: I really love the shadows in the second and fourth photo and how it compliments the clothing. I like how soft and flowy the first photo is, in contrast to the others. Really nice all around imo.

01.08.08 V51 PREVIEW: STEVEN KLEIN AND JESSICA STAM
The photographer marks his return to V with stylist Panos Yiapanis and a pile of prints by his side

v51klein_blogL.jpg

The story for Spring skews overwhelmingly toward loud and out-of-control prints and in V51, photographer Steven Klein and stylist Panos Yiapanis present their take on the trend that never dies. In a grunged-out East Village apartment, models Jessica Stam and Luke Worrall get lost in a massive pile of the printed stuff and come out looking like a couple of mangafied (x)urb rave children. It's the look blown to outrageous proportions, with some of the finest fashions pinned to the walls and strewn on the ground. And as with much of Mr. Klein's work, there's that signature sense of something unseemly afoot. Which is exactly how we like it.

V51 is on newsstands everywhere January 15th.
thanks to testinofan... i know we cannot quote pictures but for this... i hope we can... don't wanna have a "reminder" again... do we have a warning after 3 reminders???

^ it's coming from another thread and very new to this topic, I'm sure it's all good, berlin.. thank you so much for posting it. in a season where everybody will be playing with prints in editorials, I'm really eager to see Panos' take and lesson on this.. the preview so far looks truly amazing..

that photo of stam is wild
thats prints done well imo . . :woot:

the makeup is pretty extraordinary too

Will be picking up a copy of V, no doubt. So nice to see his perspective on prints. Such a keen sense of color theory and composition he has. I wonder if he studied fine arts at some pt.?

I had no clue he styled that Kate editorial. I'd always thought it married elegance and brash in the most divine of ceremonies. Now that I truly ponder it, it has Panos written all over it, rly.

He goes so amazingly well with Tisci's vision @ Givenchy. I wonder if he styles the runway shows?

^Carine Roitfeld consult the womenswear.... eventhough she don't want to say she really does....
menswear is totaly different and i think they changed the direction pretty recently....
the one who was there before was a genius.... amazing cut and outfits....
but i'm not sure anymore if he left or not.... someone with better informations should tell us....

^ Thanks for information, Berlin. I had no clue! Has Carine been consulting since Tisci's debut? The overall look has changed a bit, I think.

At any rate, I think Panos has done a fine job with the menswear by incorporating ease and casual elements into what some might call 'dressy' pieces.

I'm not really sure this belongs to this thread...
but....
Carine Roitfeld is the one who found Tisci for Givenchy....
I don't know if we really can talk about consulting as she was doing with Gucci.... but she does help once in a while....
I'm not sure she has the last word, though....
for instance, she didn't really enjoy the fw07 campain with Lara.......... and they have been published..........
