By doing nothing, I'm sure people mean that Paris has not exhibited talent in anything besides self-promotion that would warrant the attention she gets. Paris is a house-hold name because we live in an era where the tabloids create celebrities. Paris achieved her fame by basically showing up for the opening of envelopes and getting herself noticed and reported on enough that the media began mistaking her for an actual celebrity. Of course the sex tape pushed her over the edge. The downside of her type of celebrity is that it will probably not last beyond her youth in the absence of any true talent. People famous only for notoriety are easily replacable by younger more outrageous tabloid magnets.

Notice that the true A-list celebrities go out of their way to avoid the media in their downtime. You do not see them at Koi, Mood or the Ivy every day where celebrities who want attention go to get their picture in US Weekly.

The same can be said about talentless 'artists' such as the likes of Britney Spears; all you need is good marketting.
And it's not rocket science to realise that the general public find 'dumb blondes' who happen to have sex videos 'exciting' and 'interesting'.
True, she probably does exaggerate her lack of intelligence, although i hardly give her credit for her fame now. With a great marketting team/manager behind her, things should work out fine. In fact, marketting plays a huge role in many things these days, with the entertainment industry being the jackpot for it. In addition, being filthy rich from the beginning should surely give her a kickstart in this game of fame.
So, yes she's playing up her stupidity, but i also believe she truly isn't so bright (not to mention, a wh*re).

i don't believe that she's the most intelligent person, but she is most definitely in control of her life, and the fact that she knows it and uses it bugs people. you can see why, but if anyone was in her position, they would have fun and not give a sh*t about what everyone says.
