He seems to make a thing out of making the young celebs in particular look like dumbasses...a lot of people don't even do his show. That's why Leno is so popular and Conan is also on the come up in a big way. He's just so condescending...but you know what you're getting when you go there...she's been on 2 other times.

Nicole Richie handled it better cause she is more self-deprecating...

I just watched on youtube that he was making fun of Hayden Patterie(sp?), but she was promoting a movie so it wasn't for long. The problem with Paris is that she came on that show to promote what? Her perfume? That doesn't require talent and I doubt she did anything so ofcourse David is going to make fun of her. Celebs shouldn't go on the letterman show unless they are promoting something that requires talent such as a movie, music, TV show and so on.

I just watched it on TV and when she came on stage she was smiling, then apart of the audience started booing while most were clapping at the beginning. Did anyone else hear that? Her face changed suddenly after a few seconds of greeting the audience.
