I ran across an old issue of W from 2000 or 2001 with her in the society pages, back when she was just a NY socialite. She looked great--back then she had a great haircut and wore heavy black eye-makeup like Edie Sedgwick. I found her so intriguing then, her Hollywoodization wasn't necessarily a good thing, IMO. She had more mystery in those days with her style and lifestyle.
