Parisian Boutique Colette Is the Latest Victim of Hedi Slimane’s Wrath

What I don't understand is how the higher ups at Gucci would hear of such a thing as cancelling a wholesale order. I mean, that's just poor business sense and frankly, it sends a terrible message that a designer or brand's whims -- based on ego rather than a legitimate gripe -- outweighs business at the end of the day.
 
It's no surprise that the two clash: both base their business on ego, lack of talent and marketing. Both are being so silly. Let them fight each other.

You'd never see talented artists get into these embarrassing situations.
 
I was a little bit skeptical about this, seeing as how YSL is a brand and a huge business, and doesn't live for Hedi's every whim.... I thought it had to be grossly exaggerated at best. So I sought alternative sources and...

Last month Saint Laurent executives requested that Colette stop selling the Saint Laurent-parody shirts online. Owner Sarah Andelman complied but continued selling remaining stock on the floor at rue St.-Honoré where they quickly sold out. That’s when on Sept. 25 Francesca Bellettini, the chief executive of Saint Laurent, reportedly informed Andelman that the company would cease all business with Colette, something that had started in 1998 and quickly became one of the store’s best-selling collections.
