Pat McGrath - Makeup Artist

her best work, the most creative and fambloyant is at galliano and dior... but she is such a genius, she adapts to the aesthetic of every designer so seamlessly...

My favorite Pat McGrath:

Versus Spring 2003 (never has black lipstick looked so sexy!)

Armani ad, Spring 2005 (Karen Elson)

I'll try to post the pictures tomorrow.

Make a Change Day Committee

Seldom has makeup been so morphic, so innovative, and so endless in possibility as in the hands of Pat McGrath. Over the last decade, Pat has not just reinvented makeup, she has re-imagined the landscape of the entire face.
Her editorial work with top photographers like Steven Meisel for Italian and American Vogue continually breaks new ground and she regularly collaborates with iconic image-makers like Paolo Roversi, Helmut Newton, Richard Burnbridge and Craig McDean on major campaigns for Valentino, Versace, Max Mara and YSL.
Madonna, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Oprah Winfrey, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Kidman are just a few of the celebrities who seek out her refined touch.
She currently dreams up the catwalk concepts for Armani, Gucci, Yohji Yamamoto, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Galliano and Victor & Rolf and, for Armani Makeup, she created a globally acclaimed range of cosmetics. Pat dispenses her expert advice on the pages of Allure and I-D Magazine for which she is Beauty Director.
