Patent Leather Shoes - Is the trend going to last long ?

I bought a Lot of patent shoes lately(Bags,Not so much).....To be honest,eventhough I've always liked Patent leathers....I rarely bought them in the past
But All these Designer Shoes lately,At least 70% of their new collections are patents
And I tend to buy the patent ones because they always look more striking than the rest.......But I'm afraid this patent 'THing"is not going to last long,because I would hate it If wearing patents would look Dated by next year!!!,Like.....I already spent Thousands of Dollars on them!!!!Anybody has an Opinion on that????

You shouldn't buy things based off trends. If you like something, wear it all the time, even if it "goes out of style."

I agree with seanutbutter... I noticed that I am buying more patent leather shoes lately but then again I realised that I tend to buy patent items once in a while even when they weren't a "trend".. so PP enjoy ur shoes cuz they r beautiful and I am sure u're going to make use of them even in the coming seasons

Yes....I agree with you all for not following trends too much,well I'm not usually like that....But I realized recently that everything I bought were patents,and I was Frantic........
Well....Maybe I just need to worry more on things that are more Important,like So many poor people in The Country that I'm living in often dont have food on their table.....,Sorry a bit off topic,....but I just saw the local news,it's horrible,It's becoming like Africa a bit.

Patent leather is extraordinary hot at the moment but it has never been completely out. The last 100 years patent leather shoes has been available all the time. I always loved it

im going to get the miu miu black patent flats. i always resist buying the "it" style of shoes but i can definetly see myself wearing these in the years to come. as seanbutter said, its worth buying if you won't be phased by it being "out" of fashion

i agree completely...i have tons of patent and it's not new stuff...
i've been wearing it since the 80's....

i like that it's getting more popular because it's easier to find good stuff...
but i am not going to stop wearing it next season suddenly...
that would be weird...
