About us:
Rapid Emergency Assistance Care Team, or REACT, is a dedicated network of trained individuals who act as rapid, first-responders to major disasters both nationally and internationally. REACT strives to bring hope to what looks like the bleakest of circumstances by being available when needed the most. REACT operates on the philosophy that by making a difference in just one person’s life, to that single person the world has been changed.
How REACT works:
REACT has a database of volunteers in different parts of the world who are on standby. When a disaster strikes, volunteers with specific skill sets for the disaster are contacted immediately and they willingly drop everything and go. Once a team is confirmed and committed they are sent to the disaster site. Depending on the situation, the team is purposely kept small in order to be mobile enough to go where the most effective help is needed. While on the ground the team will identify who or what aid organization is the most efficient and productive with its resources. Once the initial first phase of the disaster has passed, REACT will continue to donate funds, supplies and volunteers to the identified person/organization.
