WHAT I’M WEARING NOW A Michael Kors dress, Giuseppe Zanotti boots and Eddie Borgo jewelry.
STYLE CREDO I’m adventurous. I’ll try everything. But I always like to look somewhat feminine. At some point, women, especially in America, lost touch with their femininity. I almost shut down, wanting people to respect me and see me as smart. But there’s a power to femininity, and I think we should use it more. I’m all for flaunting what God gave you.
CURRENT INSPIRATION I always love Grace Kelly. That white dress she wears in “To Catch a Thief” is to die for. I was thinking I should have it remade for a red-carpet affair. Back then, women dressed like women. Marilyn Monroe in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” in that purple outfit with the right belt and the right bag — it opened me up. Before I had been all about comfort and baby-doll dresses. I wore a baby-doll dress until they said I was pregnant, and then I was like: “No more baby dolls. Give me a belt!”
FAVORITE DESIGNERS Chloé, Chanel, Rodarte, Joseph Altuzarra. I wore a dress of his to the New York premiere of “Precious.” It was jersey with one shoulder — it was so much fun to wear! As much as I talk about old movie stars, that’s a perfect example of what I’m going for nowadays — sexy and feminine, but with a cool new twist.
ON MY WISH LIST The over-the-knee Chloé boots with a ruffle on top. I think they make your leg look skinnier. And the Chloé rose-gold blouse with one-sleeve. Anything Chloé, in fact. It’s so romantic.
Patton was born in Los Angeles to a schoolteacher mother and a lawyer father.[2] She enrolled at UC Berkeley,[3] though she transferred to USC Film School after her first year, and where she graduated magna cum laude. Shortly after completing her studies, she won a 3-month assignment making documentaries for PBS. Later she worked with the Discovery Channel as producer for the show Medical Diaries.
