Hats off to the editorial team over of Essence magazine.
For the best-selling black women's magazine's March 2008 edition, an exquisite celebration of African American movers and shakers in Hollywood take form in the shape of two special editions which feature gate-fold covers.
Honoring women, one magazine cover features recent Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson along with this year's nominee Ruby Dee. Actresses Paula Patton and Kerry Washington are also joined by film producer Tracey Edmonds, film director Kasi Lemmons, talent agent Andrea Nelson Meigs, former Motown Records exec turned television veteran Suzanne de Passe and superpublicist Marvet Britto.
Dubbed "The Woman of Influence," the remarkable photo shoot was lensed by Jim Wright in Hollywwood in December.
