Babyshambles - Album Release Date / Pete Married?



This week's first Babyshambles stories include a newly promised release date for the album and numerous reports that Pete n' Kate have tied the knot.



First (i.e. vaguely factual) things first. After too many delays to mention, Babyshambles debut album has ben given a new release day of October 10 and is rumoured to be entitled 'Up The Morning'.

The album will be released on Rough Trade, has the catalog number RTRADCD240 and alongside the known tracks such as ‘Wolfman’, ‘Gang Of Gin', ‘Sticks And Stones’ and ‘f*ck Forever’ (which reportedly features Moss on backing vocals) Doherty has recently recorded songs ‘Papashingles’, ‘Sweet By And By’, ‘Merry Go Round’ and ‘Why Did You Break My Heart? which may appear on the record.

Anyway, the today has seen the tabloid work themselves into a right frenzy as reports emerge that Pete Doherty has finally married his on/off girlfriend Kate Moss. The singer made the announcement to photographers outside the birthday party of Sadie Frost's three-year-old son Rudy.

According to various tabloids, Doherty held up his wedding finger to photographers and said, "You've missed it. This is not a rude gesture, I'm just showing you my ring."

It's believed that the ceremony took place last week and was followed by a huge party at the Dorchester Hotel (quelle surprise).

Then again, it could all be complete and utter balls.

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty have recorded a duet together entitled "La Belle Et La Bete" as part of a deal the supermodel has signed with French Vogue.

The rock 'n' roll lovebirds hit the studio last week to lay down the romantic track, which translates as "Beauty and the Beast" and will be available as a CD in an upcoming copy of the style bible's French edition, which the catwalk queen has been invited to edit.

Despite their troubles, Moss and Doherty's hedonistic relationship has impressed the fashion world.

A friend of the couple says, "Kate is obviously already an established fashion icon. But her profile has risen massively since she started going out with Pete this year.

"Pete is worshipped by certain clothes designers who think he is one of the coolest men on the planet.

I don't think he is pissing anything away, he just needs some direction, and he looks so much healthier now he is off the heroin! I am so happy I could die!!! He is a genius and words can't describe how wonderful he is. He is on the right tracks now, and hopefull he will keep on moving forward!
