PETE Doherty is courting controversy once again - this time by painting in his own blood. The Babyshambles singer, who has been fighting drug addiction, created the artwork for an underground magazine.

"It's pretty sick. He's used his blood to paint a man wearing a hat," said a source who has seen the painting. "I'm not sure Picasso has anything to worry about," they added (unnecessarily, it has to be said, seeing as the great artist died in 1973).

Under the sketch are the words: "Any scrap of paper's good, for signature a drop of blood." Nope, we've no idea what he's banging on about either!

Doherty, 26, is back with Kate Moss - but we'd stick to biro for the love notes, mate.

Britain's notorious tabloid couple of the moment, supermodel Kate Moss and heroin-addled rocker Pete Doherty, have split following a raucous bust-up in a London pub, it was reported today.

News of the World and the Sunday Mirror said Moss, 31, was drinking with actor friend Rhys Ifans when Doherty walked in.

Both tabloids reported the two had already broken up, but had a post-romance blow-up followed by a dramatic exit by Doherty, who faces charges of blackmail and robbery after an alleged attack on a filmmaker.

An onlooker quoted by the Sunday Mirror described Doherty as storming over with a "furious look on his face" after finding Moss flirting with Ifans.

"Then he laid into them with a tirade of 'F-words' about how could she do this after they had just split up," according to the witness.

News of the World said Moss had dumped Doherty last month over his avowed addiction to heroin and crack cocaine.

The short-lived romance between the British supermodel and the former frontman for the Libertines, now with his new band Babyshambles, filled tabloids from its start in January.

Doherty's recent frays have helped fuel the interest.

He spent four nights in jail last month after allegedly attacking Max Carlish, who was filming a documentary about Babyshambles.

Another musician, Alan Wass, is also charged over the incident.

Doherty had reportedly accused Carlish of selling pictures to the Mirror apparently showing the musician inhaling heroin.

The 25-year-old, who was voted "cool icon" last year by influential NME music magazine, was also jailed for six months for burgling the house of Libertines bandmate Carl Barat in 2003, and in September last year received a four-month suspended sentence for possession of a switchblade knife.

I was thinking about this the other day (I'm doing a Child welfare module at Uni ). And if Pete was around all the time and was doing drugs causally and deam a risk then perhaps so. If people thought she (lila)was at risk and KAte wouldn't cease contact with pete yes.
But apparently hes got clean.

WHAT A GIG-GLE

IT must be love for Kate Moss. When the supermodel could be in any A-list establishment in the world supping cocktails, she's at a sweaty gig supporting her bad-boy fella Pete Doherty.

Stunning Kate showed her support for the troubled singer, travelling to Ireland to watch him on stage at Dublin's Spirits nightclub.

But the supposedly loved-up couple didn't look like they were having the best of nights. Maybe the cocktails weren't up to scratch?
