Getting your cartilage pierced is really supposed to smart, though.
Didn't for me. ;) And I'm usually a baby about these things. [/b][/quote]
From now on you shall be known as: Cartilage-of-Steel! Think of it as your superhero name.

I got mine done with my friend and with a gun....she sat on me and pierced it  ....I have a phobia and when she pierced it I didn't feel it...

Maybe its because I was crying from her slapping me to get me to stay still... :innocent:

Just go somewhere.. they'll use a gun... it takes one second... a bit uncomfortable afterwards... (the key word is a bit ) but seriously its NO big deal. I've got 5 (well used to, I think 3 have grown )

Just do it !! Good luck.:flower:

I don't think ear piercing is that painful.

Honestly, I didn't even feel pain.

I had my left ear cartilage pierced about two years ago. Then took it off and had it re-pierced two days after because I thought it was too low. I then had two ear piercings on each ears. But two holes are now closed because they got infected so I only have one upper ear and two normal ear piercings on each ear. ;)

you can have it done by a doctor...
My dermatologist did it for me- all 4 times (I had a LOT of problems, only 2 earings per ear...)

They can give you cream to numb the ear (not completely, but it takes the edge off) And have special earings which help reduce the chance of infection, and also keep you from experiencing a reaction to the nickle that tends to be in cheap earings...

Of course, I currently have no piercings, because my skin just cannot tolerate it... way too many infections and trips back to the doctor, finally I just gave up!

I also had to get one of my ears redone and I honestly agree. Once you get over the whole gun concept, you should pretty much be just fine. :flower:

Noses hurt pretty bad, and unlike ears, the pain is prolonged because you need to get a piece of metal twisted into the hole. I left the parlor with no fear of hell......

I wanted to get my nose done for the longest time...
Then, I realized that I hated the shape of it and didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention.
You should post pictures though slinky. :flower:

Actually, for all that pain and suffering, my skin had an allergic reaction to the metal and I had to take it out. I was so pissed.....

edit: I could probably show you the tiny scar it left when I post some pics though.

Thanks everyone, I'm gonna go get them done as soon as I can.
Hopefully next weekend - btw, I've been bribed just a lil bit too :D
My mum's going to buy me an extra pair of earrings if I get them done...and I have my eye on this super cool pair...so hopefully I don't chicken out..but I think I'll be good.

Again thanks for all the advice!

yes!! I got my ears pierced at my pediatrician's when I was 12. Being in a doctors office made me (well, my mom) forget any worry about infection or mistake.

I GOT IT DONE!
it didn't hurt one itty bit, and i went earring shopping afterwards even though i can't wear them for like 6 weeks
but i am sooooooooo excited!
lol, thanks guyys
