Pictures Of Your Magazine Collection

^ :woot::bounce:
Impressive collection... Since you're often posting great scans I was curious to see yours.
It's difficult to imagine that it was larger, that would need a lot of space.

it was really out of control before i had the major clear out! :blink: i try not to think about how much i've spent on fashion magazines, it makes me feel ill. saying that though, if i had the space & £ i'd still be a magazine addict & not going (mostly) cold turkey. it's such an addiction.

i do regret cutting up & getting rid of some stuff - especially the first UK Vogue/Elle/Harper's & Queens (1986 on to about 1990) i bought as a teenager + the first Vogue Italia & Paris issues (1989/90) i bought. i feel very nostalgic about the 1986 to 1988 UK Vogue & Elles.

i still have clippings, but i didn't have the sense to save content pages from the ones i cut up & saved clippings from as a teen. :rolleyes:

oh well, you live & learn.

this is my collection of lily allen magazines. there are a few you can't see off the side of the picture but you get the idea. ;)

This thread makes me feel so much better. I always feel like a nut job saving all my magazines and when people come over they always ask about them.

Your magazine collection is very impressive!

This is a photo of the magazines that I have bought this week. Totally overload .
My addiction is getting worse. When will it stop I wonder?
I really need to cut down on the amount I buy. Which ones do I chose to stop purchasing? :ninja:

i know how that feels, especially because it's so hard to find editorials from this era... either way your collection is still incredible! have you tried searching in ebay the mags you ripped off? some users usually post reviews from vintage mags.

Vogue28

:shock:

One of the pros of not selling other mags(VI, VP, VR, VN, etc.) here. If they did, I would be completely broke and in a month the amount of space accumulated would be :blink::shock::ninja: already.

^I think that's half the problem. If the magazines are in front of me, then I can't help but to pick it up and buy it.
But I'm not complaining that I have such a wide variety on hand. :lol:

^ Neat! A lot of people here have bookshelves like that. :lol: :flower:

^I desperately need to get some bookshelves like those, my collection is starting to take over my room

here are some quick photos of most of mine.. (not including clippings, which fill another tall bookcase)

i got rid of around 60 to 70% of my magazines 4 or 5 years ago (& i still haven't organised all my clippings from what i got rid of :doh:). i also had to leave a load from 2003 > 2006 in the US when i relocated back to the UK (argh!) & i don't buy fashion magazines often at the moment (lack of £ & space) but i still have a lot left..

)

just craaaaaazy:woot::lol::lol::flower:

vogue28 have you posted any pics of your entire collection yet? i would love to see! and i have the same opinion on having as lots on hand, they are very helpful (and keep me happy!)

Yes. I'm also very curious to see Vogue28's collection. :flower:

This was my collection last year. But my god how much it has grew. :shock:
I will take a few photos of my collection now..

sarinni! your collection looks lovely.

yes, i have! thanks for the tip though. i've started to organise my clippings recently, the oldest (dissected from magazines when i was 14 to 18 years old, so between 1986 - 1990) were totally unorganised & i've been able to figure out what magazine issue some were from. i've had the most success getting issue info on eds from UK Vogue, & to some degree from Vogue Italia, thanks to eBay & certain "super model" related sites, but Paris Vogue & Harper's & Queen eds are harder to figure out, & French Elle eds are even harder, if not impossible.

[I'm moving to another city and I have to left my magazine collection at home.

I'll continue collecting magazines in my new place but I think it should take much time to collect that amount of magazines. SO it's my last post about my collection, and now have to think about new collection.

I just know only thing about my new collection: first magazine will be : Vogue Nippon July 2009.

There you can see: Vogue Paris, Russia, UK, US, Italia. Elle Russia. US, Russian Bazaar. Cosmopolitan Georgia & Russia, Glamour Russia, W, V, Vanity Fair, Love 1, i-D, GQ.
Sorry for the bad quality.
