Chanel S/S 2025 : Nigina Sharipova, Ella McCutcheon, Amar Akway & Libby Bennett by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

The design team really put Virginie to shame!
First a great collection for ready to wear (however heavily criticized in this forum) after years of blandness and ugliness from Virginie (e.g., Villa Noailles collection), then a confirmation of stepping in the right direction with the Metiers D'art collection, then a nice ad campaign with strong visuals.
It's so clear Virginie was the weakest one in the team and forced everyone to come up with bad image / design decisions. How she managed to gain Karl loyalty for 30 years is beyond me...
the collection by the team are just as frumpy, you can place many looks side by side its the same square ill fitted droopy 1920 /30´s silhouette and styling choices we all dislike in VV´s chanel and at times in KL´s version.

i do think these movement pic safed the collection to look dynamic younger and classy chanel but that is the show itself was just as bad as any VV show.

and i don't even hate VV´s Chanel as a hobby but nothing yet has really changed since she left.

nobody can say honestly with facts/examples it's a shift yet since she left lost of things look like KL ´s chanel even its all one big melting pot of coco still.

Way better than what we should have based on how dreadful both the collection and the photographers are.

Cant wait for Blazy to get rid of these 1960s dinasours campaigns, Inez and Vinoodh and all the other old moths.
