I started collecting a few months ago. I live in the middle of nowhere where no one's ever seen an issue of Vogue Paris so it's hard to get mags so I usually get them off e-bay or I have to beg my friends to take me to Barnes&Noble when we go on a road trip.

My Magazines

I started collect them in summer 2008
Only russian and local mags available in my country.
And Georgian Cosmo (which I think was closed in this month
Also there was Playboy Georgia but it was closed after 7 issues, it was like French Playboy, not p*rn but Beautiful nude pictures with some art elements)
I hope after yeas I'll have better collection.

They are in my second house (with grandma, he loves reading and likes Bazaar and Tatler most of them, she says they're good read )

OK you guys, this is just sad...




These treasures lie in the basement of the people I'm staying with... There's Vogue UKs, POPs, Vogue Italias, a bunch of Vogue USs, Ws, etc.
Some are in bad condition... torn, creased, bent, whatever, not all of them though. But I'm going to keep a whole lotta them

no offense bert, but that is magazine abuse! if my magazines were bent in any way I would have a heart attack. i yell at my friends if they even hold them the wrong way.

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW! They're not my magazines though... that's the thing. That's why I said I'm going to keep the ones in good condition to add to my magazine collection.

I have a question,
What would prevent my magazines from oxidating? Wrapping it in plastic? Dusting it regularly? What would you guys recommend to do? My Vogue UK's & W's are horrible.

First of all to all!

Second, avoid at all costs humidity, it kills paper and then makes it yellow.

Thank God all my magazines are intact and white, since they are recent and I started sealing them with plastic bags (not literal I can open and close it). I do remember buying some issues here and there in eBay ... yellow most of them. Even recent issues I was : // my mixed emotions ...

Try going to a store where they sell, oh God I do not know the name in English ..., prime goods? Materias Primas ... And you should find plastic bags that will protect your magazines, or just PM me and I'll hook anyone up ...

I have 22 Vogue Paris, I wish I had a lot more !!
Now I'm going to focus on buying previous issues of VP and VI and I'm going to buy Numéro and VI each month and Magazines like I-D. I will still buy my "usual magazines" so hopefully I'll have a big and good collection by the end of the year
