Pictures Of Your Magazine Collection

^^So, how's STATUS magazine? :)

IAmLordZen, can't wait to see your collection! :)

Can't wait to post my collection...

I had a big clean out and re-arrange recently and sold older and unwanted mags on ebay.

My main collection in my room:

My Vogue Australias. My earliest is from '99. I don't keep them with my other mags; no room and I stopped collecting them a few years ago after I discovered much better mags. I only occasionally buy it now if it looks like a great issue (e.g. the 50th anniversary issue). Same with my Haper's Bazaar Australias.

I have ridiculous amounts of magazines that I've kept for YEARS. They're on bookshelves (yes, multiple bookshelves), stacked on chairs, stacked on the floor, even in the kitchen cupboard!

I've started to purge some of them, and over Christmas I found my prized (publishing) possession--the September 1993 issue of American Vogue, complete with a velvet-clad Linda Evangelista on the cover:

Everything was all New Romantic/Dandy/Grunge, but the ads are the best part.

Yes, that's my Snuggie sleeve in the photo. Whoo!

Guys you will not believe this!

I was at school, I am in High School, and we were doing a collage project for Spanish class. There were so many vintage US Vogues, including the September 2004 issue. People were CUTTING IT UP! I was like NOOOOOO! I looked like an idiot wanting to take them home, but they ended up cut to shreds :(

Another occasion, someone threw out a perfect issue of Vogue US September 2009 and I found it in the trash and took it home. Now I have 2 copies of it! It's so funny how I find it frustrating that people don't care about cutting up precious magazines.

WOW. The September 2004 issue is rare. I just can't find it anywhere. It's so sad that they've cut them up.D:

^Agree! Why cut something so HOLY and FASHIONABLE! I guess some just dont understand VOGUE

I hate to see people cutting up magazines as well, especially rare ones. I saved a few from college, some Vogue Paris and a December UK Vogue with Kate.
Then I found clippings of Natasha's Craig McDean editorial from June/July 2004 Vogue Paris, had to save them.

I guess using the word HOLY for VOGUE is a wee bit of an exaggeration. :D But yeah, it's sad if you think about it. I'm very particular with the magazines I own so I make sure the copies stay pristine. US Vogue Sept 09? I'm looking forever for a copy!

^Go to Booksale! I had mine there. Be quick though, 'cause they only have one copy.:D

IAmLordZen, I agree with Style Savvy, go to your nearest booksale store 'cause they might have it on their fashion shelf. Got mine at SM Manila's branch last Monday. ;)

I went to Green Hills the other day (PROMENADE) because it's near our school and I saw 1 copy left

NNNNOOOO! I skipped one class period to go to SM Manila but to my dismay the September Vogue issue(s) was(were) gone from the stands. I just bought the GQ September ed to comfort myself a little. :D

:oI wonder if they could have been discards for the school library..
