Yes, that's how the logo reads... with every letter capitalized except the 'a'. (Lest anyone worry I've adopted an offensive tYPinG stYLe :p) Pinar is a Turkish-born, California-based designer who builds her collections around Gothic, Victorian and cabaret influences, sees the world in black, white and red and indulges in polka dots like few others. The writers at Fashion-era were far more eloquent:

PINaR ERIS was born and raised in Turkey and moved to California in 1999. Over the years, PINaR developed her artistic talent through a variety of channels including poetry, jewellery design and painting before settling on clothing design. PINaR realized that designing clothes provided her a platform for exploring the various elements of colour, form and function while also allowing her to express her eclectic artistic vision within a single discipline.

PINaR believes that clothes, by lying so close to an individual's skin, becomes an intimate extension of that person. They make the individual feel special, and most importantly permit the transmission of inner energy.

By playing with texture, volume and colours, PINaR creates wearable art.

Her first collection is based on her recent poem, 'Existence' and focuses on her favourite colours: black, red and white which she believes evoke a deep reaction among people. She is influenced by diverse lifestyles including Elegance, Victorian, Punk and Goth.

PINaR ERIS's pieces are fun to wear, a bit avant-garde expressive, and definitely feminine. If you wish to follow Pinar's career in fashion visit her website at www.pinareris.com

And now, for the photos...

as much as I find the aesthetic quite attractive the ultimate work doesn't appear that original to me. a bit literal in it's outcome. the only thing i really find interesting is her usage of the pettycoat shape. i hope as she continues her work will develop a bit more though because she definitely has some promise.

thanks ms jennifer ^_^

I love the burlesque feeling about it.. it's not something i would be tempted to wear but I certainly enjoy looking at it.

merci beaucoup, jennifah. <3

smells like betsey johnson......

i am sure christina aguilera would appreciate these things...

Thanks for the info....but I don't really like it.... it's a bit too costume-like and not in an interesting way.

i really like this right now but i have a soft spot for rockabilly/burlesque clothing worn quite literally. it seems like a gothic version of that to me. I think it is about creating fun to wear, costume-y like clothing. yes like old betsey johnson

I don't think it's very original (polkadots, black with pink, black with red, poofy skirts etc) but I'm sure the people who wear this type of clothing will appreciate this, because it looks like it might be nice quality anyways. I used to like this style of clothes and I always had the hardest time finding something that didn't look like zellers lingerie. :p
