I always forget how much I love reading this topic until someone bumps it again. love the stripey tops and proportions of it all. heavy mixed with flowy, oversized mixed with skinny.

here are a couple of vivienne westwood pieces I found on my computer from her V&A exhibit last year...I don't know what collection they're from, but I thought they were kinda piratey. perhaps more peasanty than piratey, but hey, I could still see a pirate dressing like this. I especially love the celtic knotwork printed hem on the first skirt.
