my university is like plaid central. I swear it god. If there is a "trend", then everyone is one it. That said, I would think about wearing plaid, with their gorgeous Madame A Paris shirt, because the details are so interesting. pic courtesy of lagarconne.com

if you're gonna go for some plaid that's a great choice meg

i've gotten a plaid-ish cape recently that i've been wearing a lot...
the main color is brown and it's got navy and red threads forming the plaid pattern..
and navy satin lining...
great for this change of season weather...

sounds lovely chrissy. I like the plaid bag above too. I think the key is wearing it in a less obvious way. I love the elizabeth and james shirts, their plaid degrade button down is quite nice as well.

A la, you could def find that in a vintage shop! Plaid is not a trend as far as my personal style goes. I always have and always will love plaid! I have plaid jackets, and shirts, and pants, and shorts. Lol.
