Please Help Me With My Homework/Research/Survey

Is there a French speaking person (preferably native French speaker) that would not mind proof reading my essay? Please, I need this corrected ASAP.

-Merci beaucoup

Guys, I need some thoughts on why a world without economic borders would be good. The subject is so broad (and annoying) and I would appreciate a few ideas to help me get jump started. Thanks!

Homework Help

I was thinking we could use this thread to help each other out with our school or college homework. Obviously we won't be writing essays for each other :lol:but we can get help on smaller questions!

I'm wondering if anyone can help me balance this equation? I keep getting it wrong

Fe2O3 + CO --> Fe + CO2

(The numbers are the atoms)

It should be dead easy because the others all were but for some reason I can't get this one!?

^ I can get as far as:

Fe2O3 + 2CO -> 2Fe + 2CO2 and then I get stuck with 5 oxygen on the left and 4 oxygen on the right??

Sydney:

The answer should be:

Fe2O3 + 3CO > 2Fe + 3CO2

See? You have 2 Fe on both sides (Fe2 and 2Fe) , 6 O on both sides (O3 + 3CO) and 3 C on both sides (3CO + 3CO2).

I hope that's right. My chemistry is a tad rusty, but I used to LOVE it.

I still do, but it doesn't mean I'm any good at it anymore.

^ You got the answer right you smarty!

Can you show me the working? (I'm a little slow ) Or did you just sort of work it out in your head? I was trying to do it on paper by balancing one element at a time but I keep getting stuck at the same point each time :S I think I've done waaay too many of these today!!

1. Find the volume of the solids of revolution formed if the area enclosed between the curves y=x^2 and y=(x-2)^2 is rotated about the x axis?

I know I'm supposed to use the formula:

But I don't know how to sketch it :ninja: .

2. By using substitution of u=x^2+4x+1, find the integral of:

∫(x+2)(x^2 + 4x + 1)^4 dx

That's all. Thanks! :flower:

Coco Chanel, Her Influences and Impacts

hi tfsers, this thread to mainly to discuss the coco chanel's influence on specific areas:flower::flower::flower:

i got a new project work . the theme is " Journeys " :ninja:....
and i want to present Chanel, of course cos she is a legendary
and i have tons of questions to ask

before that, let's take a look into criterias

Project Task: "Journeys"

Aim : this project task encourages you to consider how a journey undertaken by a person or a group of people has been significant (e.g. through life, travel, expedition, science. etc)

Task Requirements :(1) Indentify a journey and show how it has had significant impact on a particular aspect of the life of the person or people who have undertaken it

(2) Draw up a plan :sick:for a journey that could be undertaken by people of your age showing how an experience of this kind could be put to good use in the wider community

initially i was thinking of john galliano :rolleyes:but i don't think he did much impact on fashion industry and life of people (so called sigificant)....i'm sure chanel kind of freed women from corsets and her influential is still around (which i'm too shallow to find:lol:)
but anyway feel free to suggest any other designers that can fit nicely into the above requirements

My current a few questions are

(1) What is the impact of Coco Chanel on our lives (fashion industry, the way we dress, etc....)

(2) Any turning points in her life?

(3) the problematic part is task requirement 2...how am i going to plan a journey that is to be associated that with something related to coco chanel????:ninja::ninja::ninja:

and please don't think that i'm not doing my own work. i'm just trying to get informations to research deeper into her...thanks..:flower::flower::flower:

chanel.com has a little biography about her. did you try that? i think that would help

^^chanel.com does help... try any other biographical data you may find online... there are tons of pages dedicated to her "journey"... first steps in biarritz, paris, england, back to paris... her relationship to influential people, historical moments she lives (world war...)

impact on our lives is hard to describe because in a way there is this ideal of her as the image of the first modern woman (not only in the way she dressed herself and other people). If you actually wanted to focus on that specificly, which for a paper may seem not so deep in meaning, i think you chose a pretty good season to do so (never so many Little Black Dreses on the runway, so many tweed jackets that is something she discovered in her days in england, and in general this liberated feminine approach to style in a relaxed, effortless way)

good luck with it! (i you want to, you could post it here when you are done with it so that we can all see the result!!:flower:)

the most problematic part is this... how to connect chanel with this
(2) Draw up a plan :sick:for a journey that could be undertaken by people of your age showing how an experience of this kind could be put to good use in the wider community

I can't find this thread about teaching languages, so I decided to post it here.
Can anyone tell me if this is correct? I hope it's seen...German, I know there are 2 missing Artikels for der Kellner-Femininum (3.-der Kellner and 4.-den Kellner)

Thanks.:flower::flower:
agree about the kellner thing
Der Mann, dem ich den Weg zeige,....
Die Frau, die im Cafe sitzt,...
Das Kind, dem ein Junge den Ball zuwirft, ...

hope this helps :flower:

Does anyone know what "Hacker Class" is in terms of technoculture?

hey people.... i'm kind of enlightened after a great afternoon nap..Please take a look at my idea^_^:flower:

1) Indentify a journey and show how it has had significant impact on a particular aspect of the life of the person or people who have undertaken it
----> for this,i will talk about how chanel start as an orphan and become world know designer

Draw up a plan for a journey that could be undertaken by people of your age showing how an experience of this kind could be put to good use in the wider community
-----> i will inspire the idea of Chanel being a orphan(some more a woman) to plan for a journey for ophans esp in developing countries to suppport themselves and step into society

but is Chanel's being an orphan really an significant part of her life????
