Pond's Cold Cream

I love Pond's Cold Cream! I use it in the winter, mainly, when my skin dries up because it's so cold outside! My mum has used it for years and she loves it. It really does make your skin look great!
It's also a great eye make-up remover and it smells and feels lovely!

So I hopped on over to our local drugstore yesterday and picked some up.

I have to say... I woke up for the first time this morning with a smooth, moisturized face. Wow! I can't believe it. I have very dry skin, and it is not prone to breakouts, so this product really is turning out to be what I have been looking for..

^sounds like quite the little miracle cream, might have to get some myself ^_^

I have read (on here I think) about using Ponds cold cream to wash off eye makeup and all makeup....I bought some and tried using it last night, but I felt like it coated my face and didn't rinse off very well.

HOW does everyone use it?

if you use it as a make-up remover, you have to massage it onto your face, until your make-up disolves, then TAKE IT OFF BY TISSUE, not rinse it.

If you use water to rinse, it'll remain sticky and greasy.

After tissuing, you can choose to wash your face again with a foaming cleanser, or do like me, use Biorderma or any other cleansing water, and your face is free of makeup and moisturized in the same time.

I finally remembered to buy a jar a few days ago and I love it! I have oily-combination skin so I was a bit worried but I put a VERY small amount on and woke up with the softest, brightest skin! Despite having put on such a small amount I did have a little excess (probably from my skin type) but blotted it with a tissue and haven't had any problems. :)

^ Oh, good! I'm glad it worked for you! I apply it twice a day. And yes - it's so nice waking up with moisturized skin. :flower:

My 93 year old grandmother has used Ponds for a long time, and she has poreless buoyant peachy skin with hardly any wrinkles! But then, she also avoids the sun and drinks gallons of green tea all day...

I do love the texture of cold cream, but the mineral oil worries me,
any thoughts about that?
The Weleda cold cream is my favorite, all plant-based. And Muji makes a similar massage cream which is also non-mineral and fantastic (for massages).

My Grandma, who has flawless skin in her 80s told me about it also. I am now a firm believer in it. I have the most sensitive skin ever, and it is the only thing I cause use besides umm water? that doesn't cause any irritation. It takes off eye makeup and leaves the skin so soft -- I also love that it doesn't have any scent like most other brands.

I love cold cream. I have tried Boots, Ponds and the Walgreens brand. I like Boots the best, but it costs alot more than the others and you get less product. I am using walgreens brand right now, it works awesome but it smells kinda not the best...

I swear by Pond's..I don´t use the cold cream particularly but I swear by the brand..cream wise.

The best make up remover, imo.

People have been using it for hundreds of years, so it speaks for itself.

Model Karlie Kloss uses this product.

And Julien d’Ys told me about Pond’s—good old Pond’s Cold Cream; he said it’s the best to get makeup off and he’s right. After a show when I have tons of thick mascara and piled on stuff, I just slap on a big dollop of this—it’s a démaquillant and cream all in one. All the girls in the old days—all the supermodels—this is what they carried around. It’s the old-school cheap trick.

I bought Pond's cold cream about a month ago. I think it's brilliant. It's much better than Liz Earl's Cleanse & Polish hot Cloth Cleanser, and I used to love it! What I like about the Pond's Cold Cream is that it doesn't leave my skin dry after removing make-up. I actually don't have to use any moisturiser afterwards, which is great considering that I've got dry and flaky skin (or should I say 'used to'). I also used to have redness on my cheeks and chin, but it has cleared up nicely too. So yeah, I've only got nice things to say about the product. Very happy with it :flower:

I love this Cold Cream. I use it as my exfoliator, cleanser, makeup remover and anti-aging cream. I have been using for over 8 yrs now and I have tried numerous products. I have tried Clinique Moisture Surge, Amore Pacific Moisture Bound, Hemp Facial Cream, Kiehls Ultra Moisturizing Facial Cream, Artistry, Velocity by Mary Kay and on and on and on. I still keep coming back to Ponds.
This cold cream is the best treatment for my face. It leaves my skin glowing and clean. I love it!

I love it, too. The only thing I worry about are no extras... vitamins, antioxidants, etc. I wonder if it's a con that Pond's is without the extras. But I agree, it leaves skin hydrated and glowing.

I use it before shower, I aply with my hands all over my face and eyes to remove sunscreen, mascara, etc, and then i remove the cream with a tissue and then i wash my face with soap while i'm in the shower. The skin feel soo clean. I also use it to remove make up without washing it after, and works really great to, the skin feels very smooth and clean by the next day. My skin is combination/oily and i am very sensitive around de eye area, and i never had a problem using this product, I love it!

I just bought this, in part due to the raves in this thread. Can barely stand the scent, but other than that I'm pleased. Leaves my face feeling cleaner than with my Origins cleansing oil that I was using before (I bought the Ponds because I wanted to save money and couldn't be bothered to go somewhere Origins is sold when there is a drug store on my block!) ...I put it on and then massage off with a warm damp towel. I have normal/dry super sensitive skin. Sometimes I follow up with a gentle foaming cleanser. I hope the results keep up!

I love this stuff! I purchased it a couple months ago and I now swear by it. Also its incredibly inexpensive. I bought it on sale and it ended up being packaged in a 2 for 1 deal - so I got 2 for half the price of one yay!

What I do is apply it at night and then take a muslin cloth and run it under hot water and remove the cream using the cloth in circular motions. I find that it removes all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling very soft.

You can get it for oily & combination skin too; it is wondrous. I read a dermatologist recommendation years ago for PONDs and have used it ever since. Just slather it on, and tissue it off, or use a warm face cloth. It's brilliant.
