Post a Totally Random Moment From Fashion History...

 Was this at an event or in general? I can't find a relevant photo, if one exists!
Oh no in general. He visited Colette every Saturday.
But he was really approachable. The few times I saw him in the streets of Paris, he was normal. His studio and his apartment were always in the same neighborhood.

My exact thoughts, models were basically coming out from 2 directions in a very narrow runway and obviously there was going to be trouble. I also want to highlight the infamous Prada S/S 09 show where even pros like Stammy struggled. Just what was Miuccia thinking giving them socks lol. I read from a so called insider source that she gave them the socks last minute and that the models were unprepared. I have no idea if this is true, any insiders feel free to correct me.

From what I’ve read, it was a late night day before to day of decision to add the socks and the models were already struggling with the arch and what where rather precarious straps with the heels. There’s some hilarious backstage shots of the models after the show with them taking the shoes off and the absolute RELIEF that is on their faces is priceless!!!

The shop floor versions were altered massively. Arch changed and the heels a tad denser. Sockettes were seperate or sewn into the shoe to make it easier to wear.

At least no one has to worry about Ungaro "sparkling" in 2025.

Karl's DON'TS: bulky fabrics, belts, pockets on the hips, low armholes, tailoring that grabs the body instead of FITTING it, wrinkled clothes, threads hanging off, visible pins,

That post has got me wondering what will happen to the DG creative direction after they decide to leave or pass away
Im sure they will choose their successor.
They are very chauvinist so I guess he will be Italian and possibly from their studio.
They have a healthy business, enough brand recognition, some key products in various categories and unlike Armani and Versace, they have totally streamlined their operations for the better.
