Post a Totally Random Moment From Fashion History...

The Nepo-Fest that was Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 with Ava Hawk McDean, Kenya Kinski-Jones, Ella Richards, Georgia May Jagger, Lily-Rose Depp, Lottie Moss, Sofia Richie Grainge
and as a cherry on top, Sistine Stallone:

I had a look through this collection then had a jumpscare when Pharrell 'Happy' Williams appeared.

Is it politics? She is recognized for her impact on culture and business, no?

The same thing as the Couture clients thread…
The problem is not the designs but the clients. She looks like a lady who lunch and who put on costumes. The shoes are fabulous though!

She would have looked the best in one of those two looks…

She was recognized for raising money for AIDS research but being along with list of other controversial "freedom fighters" like HRC and Soros is creepy.
Oh ok! Great but random…
She was decorated in France and UK for culture. Interesting…

Also Michael J. Fox, Bono, Ralph Lauren, Bill Nye, Denzel Washington, and Jane Goodall...lol yeah, so creepy. It's quite an anodyne list if you actually read it in full.

I think it's more so the tasteless display of 'charity'. There's something ever so slimy about celebrities' public show of 'philanthropy'. I don't believe for a second that Anna W would have dedicated her resources if it wasn't for the PR attached with it. Political affiliation is irrelevant. BS charity is as old as humans themselves.

Yeah, I'm not getting the outrage. It's just a civilian award for merit, it's not even really connected to charity work. All countries have bullsh*t awards like this. Her blurb doesn't even mention charity beyond vague "philanthropy." If anything, their mistake is not giving Diana Vreeland a posthumous one!

These looks for sure cost way more than $9,000. White dress seems to be cut out backed on chiffon. Amazing collection.

How can I forget Ms. Horyn's "Balenciaga Model Moment" when she had to write an article about it!
