Post a Totally Random Moment From Fashion History...

(Well played Lutz XOX)

"Deliverance" may not be his best collection nor his best show. But the splendour of movement, of motion, of pure heat between the cast melding in perfect choreographed chaotic synergy is all but extinct in fashion shows these days. A crying shame the show wasn’t captured in photographs as a colossal editorial in Franca's Vogue. And the joy and excitement it stirred amongst the crowd of jaded fashion folk into genuine giddiness— Andre looks like a kid being overwhelmed at Toys R Us for the very first time, is the brand of potent spell that could only ever had been cast during that high Elder golden age of highest fashion. And still all so fcukn so effortless, a quarter of a century later. Cherish this (…unfortunate the original soundtrack is missing.)

It looks like our long-awaited revival of Ungaro must wait, Law Roach will be busy with Project Runway!

No, he must be waiting for Chanel or Dior to give him a call when the duo flop. He literally creates ZENDAYA and FASHION!

Who knows, maybe the next head designer of Ungaro under the CD of Law Roach will come from PR.

I love the show, it’s really entertaining even though it’s totally irrelevant to the industry.

Sometimes I think about what a French version of that could have been and the equivalents in terms of cast makes me realize even more how irrelevant the show is in the industry.

Although a touch a bridged, thankfully this one retains the original music. Which is a necessity to watch this. Having the start begin with Dueling Banjos and to also have the show be called “Deliverance” alongside the They Shoot Horses Don’t They? inspiration. Fantastic.

Mind you, I believe Meisel already did a Vogue Italia editorial based on the movie. March 1997 I believe.

Emanuel Ungaro? 🤣😘

This 2007 American Idol editorial from Harper's Bazaar with Amber... I have zero recollection of this. Harper's Bazaar had some really bizarre editorial concepts with Glenda, didn't they?

This is so unserious lmaoo this should've been in the pages of The Face not Bazaar.

The amount of z-listers who had editorials in Bazaar during that time was also wild… Lindsay Lohan’s mom, Ashlee Simpson post-SNL, Denise Richards, etc.

Shot by Lindbergh too… which again is very surprising!!! It’s a fun edit though, but yeah more for Dazed, I-D or the Face. Maybe even one of the side editorials in Vogue Italia that they ran at the time when the magazines were filled with edits.
