I loved this dress of hers! what are u talking about unfortunate? she looks like a beautiful vintage queen here lol I loved it anyways.

I liked the dress, but unfortunately it was partially covered by the fring and the cape (which mad eher look like a cowgirl) and that hairdo (which made her look like a poodle)

I loved Hilary's Guy Laroche gown, and Charlize's orange Vera Wang. But my all time fav has to be that J.lo Chanel look. I know, I know it was sheer and you could see her nipples and blah blah blah, but for me that keeps it from being too elegant. The gown was gorgeous, her makeup was flawless, the hair was simple and chic, the jewelry looked great....I loved it.

Also liked Julianne Moore in YSL for 2003, emerald green isn't a color you see much at the Oscars and it looked great with her coloring.

And Nicole Kidman in Gaultier HC in 2003, unfortunately the photos and t.v. coverage didn't do the dress any justice.

I agree with Whiteorleander, that Cate Blanchett ensemble was INCREDIBLE. By far my favorite.

I Cate, but i think that's one of her worst, imo yellow gold jewelry does nothing for her (or most people for that matter) on the red carpet (perhaps it's the cameras?). The second look with flowers is pretty though.

No, i never joke about gorgeous fashion , and i also think that J.Lo looks great in the Chanel dress, not "skanky". But seriously, thats just my opinion as it's obviously yours that you don't like it.

My comment above was meant for Bjork I didn't see the next page I guess and thought that was the last post. Cate does looks beautiful there she's very statuesque. I love her tall grand figure. However about Jennifer If I can see someone t*ts right in the open they might as well be on a playboy cover. This generation appears to knows nothing about class. If the dress wasn't sheer it would have been very classy and reminscient of Grace Kelly. I'm not saying the dress isn't beautiful by all means it's Chanel, but I mean come one let's not kid ourselves the oscars is the most presitigous awards event of the year it's not the MTV movie awards. People go there to celebrate talent and creativity not shock value.

I also loved this Cate Blanchett Oscar dress.

I think Cate's Galliano is my favourite I also really liked:

She looked effortlessly lovely, there wasn't anything 'fussy' about how she was done up, which I really liked

I Julia Roberts's vintage Valentino gown she wore when she won at the Oscars 2001. That was an AMAZING dress.

Reese Witherspoon's lacey black Valentino at the Oscars 2002 was also beautiful.
