Grammys

Taylor Swift : Mugler Pre-Fall 2016 ( She needs to dare more on the redcarpet. This dress with the slit + her legs is a match made in heaven)

Adele : Osman Pre-Fall 2016 ( I'd love to see her in something different. There's nothing chicer than a black tuxedo and I think she'd look amazing in it with her new figure)

Rihanna : Saint Laurent S/S 2016 (Without the tiara, not sure about the slit but definitely with the feather cape. Only Rihanna could pull of this look IMO)

Florence Welch : Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2016 ( This dress has Florence's name written all over it)

Oscars

Cate Blanchett : Oscar de la Renta S/S 2016 ( With the sleeves-gloves thingy definitely but maybe sewn to the dress so that the general public understands it.)
OSC1217.jpg

Brie Larson : Chanel Couture S/S 06 ( Brie's style is a bit hard to get but this Chanel is perfect for an Oscar win. This is one of Karl's best dresses ever IMO. It's timelessly elegant but still looks young and would look amazing with bold red lips , her hair down and silver stappy sandals)

Saoirse Ronan : Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2016 ( I expected Saoirse to be the fashion mischief of the awards season but she has been pretty safe so far. This Miu Miu dress woud set things right)

Jennifer Lawrence : Atelier Versace S/S16 ( This dress was made for Jlaw. It's everything we want to see from her. Young, sexy, fun but still chic)
VER1131.jpg

Charlotte Rampling : The Row Resort 2015 ( It is a bit severe but I find it so elegant and timeless. So all in all, perfect for Rampling)

Rooney Mara : Dior Couture S/S 98 ( She would win the Oscar if it was up to me , her performance in Carol was so incredible. This is the ultimate Oscar win dress, from the greatest fashion show ever IMO. I think she's the only one who could pull off something like that. With her amazing hairstyles it would be insane + it's exuberant and different from her minimal style)

Alicia Vikander: Givenchy HC S/S 2009 ( Just like Jlaw I'd love to see her more in sexy and fun looks but with a bit of a romantic touch as well. I actually think Tisci's aesthetic would fit more to Alicia. This is one of his best dresses ever and it hasn't been worn by everybody like his other couture pieces. It would look amazing with her tanned skin & brown hair)

Julianne Moore : Rochas S/S 2006 (Her skin, her hair with that dress... Simply perfect !)

Lady Gaga : Alexander McQueen S/S 2008 (The internet would flip but I’d love her to go all Gaga by wearing such an iconic dress instead of dragging herself as a movie star)

Charlize Theron : Haider Ackermann S/S12 (It's sexy yet incredidibly elegant so perfect for Charlize. It's also different from the sleek & statuesque gowns she usually wears. Also the metallic fabric would look fantastic with her hair and a strong makeup)

I wanna see Julianne in thet Rochas and Taylor in that Thierry

Great choices Wolkfolk! The only thing though is that red Atelier Versace looks just like the red Calvin Klein Jennifer wore to her first Oscars back in 2011 and that Rochas looks like the Guy Laroche Hilary Swank wore in 2005.

You're absolutely right :flower:. I aways loved Hilary Swank dress but never knew who designed it so thanks :)
Julianne could still wear the Rochas though. Thanks to the flowers at the bottom + if she wears a great pair of long pendant statement earrings (everything but sapphires obviously) it could work.

Jlaw never topped that red Calvin Klein dress she wore at ther first Oscars IMO. I think that's why I chose the Versace dress. But also this is the perfect silhouette for her. So maybe in another color then. Like a deep emerald green to go with her eyes.

Hopefully Whoopi can do something glamorous

I'd love to see Rooney Mara in one of the embellished gowns from McQueen. The flapper Marchesa dress would look incredible on Lupita you're so right and Kiernan Shipka would be perfect in the Mary Katrantzou.

Brie Larson in this Alberta Ferretti

Did someone predict Cate's outfit? The red carpet was somewhat boring I wish some stylists had looked through here.
Nice to see my Chanel Couture on Julianne though I had predicted it for someone else

Well I predicted Cate in Armani, but that was a given.
Every actress went so left field from what I expected...and they looked worse for it imo.

Alicia and jennifer were huge dissapointments very boring looks

TheFashionSpot really would style these stars better than their stylists will!

For next year's award season we need to start this thread a month or so earlier; give the stylists a chance to review and chase down our suggestions. They clearly need them. :)
